Eddie quietly hummed to himself while he was stood idly in the kitchen, leaning against the counter looking down at his phone. It was Valentine’s day, and after a long day of being out and about with his Other, he was exhausted.
And so was Venom by the seems, because he hadn’t shifted from where he flopped on the couch, legs dangling over the arms of the chair. Eddie gave him a few glances every now and then with a little smile, before turning to mess with something on the counter.
They had gone sightseeing for the day to all different parts of San Francisco that Venom was dying to see. Some places he had seen before but most were completely new to him. Then they went to a very nice restaurant and ate enough for two, despite the silly looks they were given, neither of them cared. Who were they to deny a man and his alien lover a good Valentine’s day?
Venom certainly enjoyed their day out, because he was almost a puddle of black in the couch he was laying on. Eddie was humming something quietly to himself while messing with something in the sink and putting it away in the cupboard.
While he was doing this, the radio changed to a familiar song. One that caught his attention, and even his love in the other room. Eddie glanced to the couch where he saw Venom sat up straight now, looking directly at him. Eddie smirked.
“You love this song.”
“I do.” Venom purred and got up from where he was laying and walked into the kitchen, bending down a little to muddle with the knob of the radio and turned it up. “We do. We love this song, don’t we?”
“Yes, my love.”
“Do you remember why?”
“It was the song you kissed me to.” Eddie smiled up at him from where he was stood, hands firmly on the counter behind him. Venom purred loudly now down at his lover, raising a clawed hand to gently brush his cheek.
“That’s right..” Venom cooed happily when he could remember why and stroked his thumb along his stubbled cheek. “And it’s been our song ever since.”
“Always will be.” Eddie slipped his arms around Venom’s waist and held him, nuzzling his cheek into his chest. “Did you enjoy today?”
“Yes, Eddie. Always enjoy our time with you. Always have a good Valentines with you.” Venom purred down to his human and nestled his chin on top of Eddie’s head, his strong arms coming around Eddie’s hips to hold him and started to gently sway back and forth. Eddie copied his movement so they were in sync.
“You know I can’t smile without youuuu..” Eddie mumbled quietly against Venom’s chest while they were swaying, very naturally. Venom had pulled them away from the counter so neither of them would bump themselves, and now they were in the middle of the kitchen under the light. The radio was still playing, and Venom hummed along while Eddie was quietly mumbling the words.
“I really enjoyed today.” Eddie said quietly, planting a few kisses against his chest before nestling his chin on his sternum to look up at him. “You really do know how to make a man feel like a million dollars.”
“You are worth much more than that to me.” Venom purred down to Eddie and planted a kiss on his forehead multiple times. “No amount of money in the world could deem your worth to me.”
“You’re such a sap.” Eddie chuckled lightly at him, shaking his head. Venom brought one hand up to gently rake his claws through his ruffled hair, using his thumb again to stroke his cheek.
“But you love it.”
“Indeed I do.” Eddie went onto his tiptoes to kiss him, holding their lips together. “How do you think Anne and Dan are handling the kids?”
“Perfectly fine I should hope. Are you sure they didn’t mind having them for the night?”
“I made sure a million times. Anne and Dan love them to bits. There was no way she wouldn’t let me say no.” Eddie shook his head with a gentle smile, nuzzling his face against his chest.
“At least I have you all to myself tonight.” Venom purred alluringly against his ear with a smirk. Eddie shivered.
“Can’t wait.” Eddie tried to stop himself from turning red but it didn’t work, Venom could feel his heated cheeks against his shoulder and laughed. The two of them held each other a little longer, swaying together in the middle of the kitchen while their song kept playing. Despite the absolute amazing day they’ve had together… This was definitely their favourite part of today.
“I love you. So so much.” Eddie kissed over Venom’s shoulder multiple times and raised his arms so they were around his neck. “I couldn’t have met anyone better.”
“I love you too sweetheart.” Venom purred into his hair, nuzzling his toothy mouth against Eddie’s neck and tightening his hold around Eddie’s waist. “You gave me a second chance at life and I couldn’t be more thankful.” Venom nipped his neck softly with the tip of his teeth. “Thank you. You truly showed me that life was so much more than what I was born to do. You gave me love, a family, a home where I no longer feel like an outcast. You made me special.”
“And you made me special.” Eddie pulled his head away to cup Venom’s face, his thumbs massaging the corners of his mouth and his jaw. “All because you crash landed one night in Malaysia. Incredible.”
“I found you.”
“And I found you.” Venom leaned down to kiss him again and gently tipped Eddie backwards, holding his Other by his lower back. “I love you, my darling.”
“I love you too, my love.”
“Now come on.” Venom suddenly hoist Eddie over his shoulder. “I’m gonna take my time enrapturing you tonight.”
