Tony was having a normal day or as normal as one could have with superheroes god's and super soldiers when things went not so normal.
After the big fight with Thanos which was dubbed among them as 'infinity war' where Thor had cut off Thanos head before he could use the time stone and save the universe*insert jazz hands*
The Rogue Avengers were pardoned in the face of of a bigger threat but had to sign the amended accords and stay in house arrest in Avengers compound for 6 months and Tony had to watch over them.
After their return from planet Titan to earth, he immediately called May Parker and told her about her nephew's shenanigans to space, for which she grounded him for a month after making sure he made a promise of never going of on unknown spaceships.
And Tony couldn't bring himself to be sympathetic with his protege *cough*his kid*cough* even in the face of his puppy dog eyes, serves him right for almost giving him heart attack and all the grey hairs.
His own adventure earned him a slap and a soul crushing hug from Pepper who had cried for almost half an hour after his return and he was subjected to her lightly hidden threats and at last sweet kiss on forehead from her. He really doesn't deserve her he thinks in his mind.
He also recieved painful pats and hugs from Rodhey and Happy , their relief was palpable in seeing him alive and he received medical treatment on his way to compound.
He was so relieved that the threat for which he was preparing for so many year is finally over and they came out relatively unscathed and now he could really rest and may be retire and do things without fear of the future
Suddenly he felt tiredness to his very bones and all he wanted to do now was sleep and rest he told his friends as such who shared a look at that and pushed him to his room in the compound and he was out like a light and he slept almost for a whole day
Any way now all the Avengers were sit in the living room in awkward silence not knowing how to break the tension in the room
Tony himself felt very jittery to even be in the same room as Rogers and Barnes but he had to be here as this was a team building exercise as Romanoff calls it.
Bruce,Thor,Tony and Rodhey sat on one side and team cap minus Ant man who said he wants to stay with his daughter was in his own house,on the other side
So to distract him self he thought about anything he could 'peter said that he would come today now that he was allowed to leave and maybe we could have a lab day and he hasn't met point break and brucie bear and introduce them' he almost chuckled at how that interaction will go, the kid will be a bumbling mess around them
Just when he was about get up and clean it before peter arrives, FRIDAY alerted "boss there is an unknown person who has entered the compound and coming towards the living area"
That had everyone in a battle ready stance and Tony asked "why did you allow them to enter FRI" "they know the password Boss" was her only reply
Just when he was gonna ask something they a heard a voice shouting "Dad, dad are here? Hello! uncles can anyone hear me" it was a voice of an almost teenage girl
"Hey it's not funny, how could you'll leave me injured like that?! was it one of Uncle Clint's stupid pranks if It was, seriously I'm gonna tell Aunt Nat about it " hearing this everyone was more confused and looked between Clint and Natasha who didn't show any reaction on her face
Now that the voice was getting close they could hear the harsh pants in the voice
" does any of you except Scott and Clint have a daughter " it was Rodhey who asked it.
Everyone just shook their head as no and went back to looking towards the door as a girl with curly brown hair and wide brown eyes entered
She looked worse of wear and was slightly limping and holding her side and looked like she was about to collapse any moment but looked quite young even younger than Peter, she looked like a baby deer looking for her parents
When she saw them her doe eyes started to fill with tears and was looking at them accusingly which had many of them shifting uncomfortably under the scrutiny
Tony himself started to think what did they do wrong that they were being subjected to mini version Pepper and aunt hottie
"You all left alone how could you all do that" her eyes going over every one
Just then Rogers opened his mouth " Please listen here young ma'am we don't know what are you talking about we don't know you " he said in his 'patron Captain America voice' as Tony like to call it
"Really Uncle Steve you too, i can't believe it, one moment we were fighting a guy with wierd gun like thingy and next moment I wake up in an alley and no one was present there " she said her voice reaching a higher pitch " It was as if Non of you cared and left me and here you all are, sit in the compound living area " she added quietly
"Why were you fight the guy alongside us? " it was Natasha who asked it
"Aunt Nat not you too, did you forget that I am spider girl and where is our spider code auntie 'we spiders always have each others back' is what you said" Now her tears were really falling from her eyes and Tony winced seeing that
'Wow they must have seriously hurt her feelings' Tony thought 'or she is a very good actor' he added as an after thought
But ,wait spider girl the only spider themed hero they know was spider man, this is getting complicated and his mind was coming up with various theories already
"What is your name?" Tony asked, she must have not noticed him because of Thor standing in her field of vision right in front of him cause she jumped at hearing his voice
And then she started moving towards him before anyone could do anything and hugged him and started sobbing
"Dad I was so scared when no one was there and you all left me" her voice was muffled by him shirt which was getting more soaked with tears with each second
Tony tried to awkwardly pat her back but he himself was having a internal melt down
'WHAT him a DAD?! NO WAY he can't be A dad! He was not MEANT to be a dad!!' he thought hysterically while looking at other for help but he only received confused looks in return or well mostly confused looks
Wilson, Thor, Wanda and Bruce looked as confused as he himself felt
Rodhey looked at him with confused but sympathetic look cause he knows how much he avoids emotions and how much out of his depth he felt
Barnes and Romanoff had almost blank and neutral look cause they are weird like that
Rogers looked like he found enlightenment and Barton looks like he ate sour lemon
As he awkwardly patted her back in a there-there gesture trying to keep his oncoming panic at bay her sobbing turned to sniffles as she looked almost asleep
"Can you answer my questions?" he asked quietly and she peeked up from where she hid in his chest
She let out a sleepy giggle "You look old dad like really old!"
His first thought was 'Rude' and second thought was 'she looks kinda precious and cute-' but he cut that line of thought, the important thing was to interrogate her and find how she knows Password and most of all WHY IS SHE CALLING HIM DAD?!
But before he could ask more she collapsed on him and he looked at others for help when Bruce came forward "we should first take her to med bay and then talk about what really happened here"
Tony nodded and carried her, she was surprisingly light for a teen,and left her to Bruce's care and was about to leave when he saw a stark phone in her pocket and took it,for investigation of course
and came to the living room where everyone were still reeling over what happened when Tony saw the time and asked the million dollar question(according to him anyway)" Lunch anyone"
