"So," Elena says, "what did you want to ask me?"
"I wanted to ask you if you wanted to be my roommate," Vanessa says. "I'm realizing I don't actually dislike you and I want to help you. To make sure you can stay here."
"Thank you," Elena says. "I appreciate that. I don't dislike you either."
The women smile at each other. Vanessa pictures a future full of shared dinners and smiles. She likes the idea. It's much better than fighting over a man, she realizes. She and Elena are gonna have so much fun together. She is so excited!
