Summary
The first thing Gerard associates with a mansion with a pool is sunshine, hot summer days, and the glare of the afternoon on the water, but when he arrives at the gothic estate at the top of the hill just outside town with his gear, the only thing he can think about is that the moonlight looks especially alluring. He’s been night swimming before, but nothing compares to the chill of the darkness around his body, suspended in liquid and surrounded by bloodlust.
