Law and Luffy had been happily married for over 5 years now.
When Luffy had first brought home Law after school exclaiming "I HAVE FOUND MY FUTURE HUSBAND"
His brothers weren't to pleased with this information, but in the end Law had passed the Monkey D. family test, and he had been excepted into the family easily after that.
Recently Law had gotten a new position at a more prestigious hospital all the way over in New World city. Luffy had been ecstatic at the idea of moving closer to his brother as they had left to work under their dad in the police force, hoping for more opportunities in the bigger city. So they had said their good byes, packed up, and moved. At first Luffy was thrilled at Law getting such a good position in the surgical area of the doctors world. But eventually the thrill of a new city wears off after a few months. His brothers had to get back to work, unable to entertain Luffy wen Torao was working.
Not soon after he decided after a few weeks of sitting around the house waiting for his husband to get back from work, he would go find a simple job to give him something to do until later in the day. He spent a whole day wandering around for a fun job and eventually got bored and took a break in a coffee shop to rest before he got back to looking for work.
Around that time Nami had decided to let one of her workers go home early as it was their last shift, them leaving for other things. She happens to notice a tired looking brunette with a straw-hat off in the corner. She had never seen his face around, though it was a big town, around this area. He looked to be around late teens early adulthood, still having some baby fat on his cheeks from what she could see. He looked troubled and it irked her in a way that had her making her way around the counter to the corner of her shop, closer to the guy.
"Um, excuse me? I don't believe I've seen you around here before?" He looks up as she makes her around the table to sit down. "Ah! Hello, um no, I'm quite new here, i had just moved here recently a couple months ago." He relaxes a bit at the familiar feeling of conversing with someone, finally having something to occupy his time for now.
"Hm. well it looked like you where mopping over here so i thought i might say Hi." she extends her hand out infront of her. "My names Nami" He takes her hand in a firm shake while letting out a small chuckle "My names Luffy". she seems be be in thought for a minute "So why are you moping over here anyways?" "Oh, that, well I've been looking for a simple job, but all the jobs around here you need to be in the big leagues for it seems" he sighs in disappointment leaning on his hand.
"Oh? is that all?" he looks confused, and just as it seems he is going to say something she continues "Well one of my workers just had their last day, so if you want i can hire you, after all I need a new worker, and you seem to be in need of a job." he sits up straight at that. "Wait really? Like your serious!" he says nearly bouncing out of his chair from excitement. "Of course, I opened this shop for reasons like this. I had the same issue wen i was younger trying to get a job and no one willing to hire me." Of course it was all thanks to her adoptive mom belli-mere that she even had the money to open this.
"That would be wonderful! Wen can I start, what hours would you put me as, what d-" she puts up her hand, cutting off his rambling "Woah there tiger, one thing at a time. First why don't we head to my back office and we can work all of this out together and see what works best for you" And with that they went off to get him started.
But over with Law was another adventure. He of course felt bad for having long hours and not being able to spend as much time with Luffy, but with a bigger city, meant more people. And more people meant more casualties. Of course he was very happy that his friends Shachi, Penguin, and Bepo had managed to help get him such a good job over in NW Hospital. But knowing Luffy was home waiting like a dog waiting for its owner mad him feel a little bad about it. Luffy had let him know he was fine but it only helped so much. But hopefully Luffy has luck in finding a quaint job to entertain himself like he was hoping.
Speaking of entertaining himself, he knows he had sent that new intern off somewhere to find a few files of patients but he should have been back by now. He may have only have been here for a few months now, but it seems he had already had an intern throw at him. Something about it being a new learning experience for both of us as i had never had one over in my home town. Letting out a frustrated sigh, he gets up from his current paper work and set out to find him. Somewhere down the hall he could here the intern loudly talking with someone.
Making his way in to the room he had finally pin pointed the sounds coming from, He seems chopper, the intern, and Robin, the nurse that had been helping him get comfortable here, Talking about, ..... something. "If you have time for talking then you have time for work"
"Ah, Dr. Trafalgar-san" She watches as Chopper almost seems to freak out over being fired from being an intern over a small conversation "I didn't mean to keep Chopper-san from you" he merely sigh at that "I assume you had gotten the files as i had requested" he quickly added "Dr.Chopper" knowing Chopper would stop freaking out and simply blush and hand him the papers and talk about how he's not a doctor yet and him being referred to as one doesn't make him happy all while smiling.
As Law reaches out to grab the papers Robin notices a shine from his hand. A Ring. "Ah, Dr. Trafalgar-san, I didn't know you were married" She says with slight surprise in her voice. He looks down at his ring with a soft smile "Yeah, 5 years and going strong" He gets a soft look on his face wen he says this. She had never seen such a look and his face in the short time he has worked here "Well I'm sure their quite the lucky person then" and she watches him nod his head with that soft look on his face before leaving back to his desk.
