Chapter Text

It was a regular day. Going to class, training. It was supposed to be a good Thursday. But then, Aizawa heard about an incident involving one of his students. Bakugou once again. The good thing is that no one got hurt. However, the blond one was hit by the Quirk of the boy he was having a fight with. His opponent left before telling anything about his power and Aizawa was already tired thinking about looking for the boy. What if it was dangerous? He had to protect Bakugou, no matter his attitude. Nevertheless, Aizawa stopped thinking about that quickly, learning quickly what actually was this Quirk when he heard a voice. Bakugou's voice. But the boy didn't move his lips. It was his thoughts.

I made sensei mad again... would he even believe me if I said he started it?

His teacher didn't even answer. If Bakugou knew he could hear his mind, he would get very mad about that and would hide in his room until the Quirk's power vanished.

At least, knowing about that was good: Aizawa could now know who was the boy who was fighting his student. Was it intentional? Was he the only one that will hear Bakugou's thoughts? How long will it last? During his research, Aizawa quickly noticed he wasn't hearing anything anymore. Did it end already? That's weird.

But, he found answers in the students' Quirks. It had a very special power. One that only activates if the one touched suffer mentally. The Quirk is here to help, sharing the thoughts to anyone near the victim.

Several problems rose from that. First, Aizawa will have to talk about this to his students. Then, should he ask Bakugou about his mental health? And... what could his student suffer from? Him? Bakugou Katsuki?

Shouto was waiting for his boyfriend. He knew there was an argument between him and a student from another class. Still, his cute explosive blond came back earlier than he thought. Welcoming him with hugs and kisses like always, Shouto noticed something was wrong. Katsuki seemed bothered by something. He was about to ask something when he heard his lover's voice. At first he didn't even focus on it, confused. How can he hear Katsuki when he's not talking?

Aizawa is mad... how is he going to punish me? I hope he won't expel me...

And Shouto. He's disappointed isn't he? I told him I was working on my anger but I still fought... I can't do anything right.

I'm still the same as the one I was when I hurt Deku. Mom was right. Mean children can't change... maybe I should leave UA. Someone better will take my place.

Shouto kissed Katsuki again and again, trying to make him stop thinking. It was painful to hear that. How can he think leaving is the right option? He needs to talk to Aizawa about that.

That night, studying with the Bakusquad was different. Bakugou knew something was wrong, they all were so stiff. But it seemed no one wanted to talk. His best friend Kirishima looked worried about something. And of course he was. They all were. Hearing things they shouldn't hear.

I wonder how they can stand being by my side. I'm just useful for them right? It's fine, I like that I'm not alone.

Oh I remember Hanta mentioned a fight with his mother, I hope she didn't hit him. Unlike me, he doesn't deserve violence.

Fuck that bitch is going to know about the fight I had today. She's going to hit me. Shit I just hope father won't lay a hand on me.

Abuse. They were hearing about Bakugou being abused. And thinking it was normal. Aizawa had to know. The Bakusquad quietly agreed to share this secret to their teacher.

Aizawa was already worried about Bakugou. The Quirk was linked to mental health issues. It is already very worrying. His student needed help about something. And of course he knew Bakugou wouldn't say anything. Instead of meeting him and talking, he was joined by Todoroki and Bakugou's friends. They seemed to know things. Already?

"Mister Aizawa, it seems that I was able to hear Bakugou's thoughts. I don't care about the reasons, I'm worries about what I heard." So the explosive boy was already loud inside of his head. "I would have shared the problem with all of you tomorrow but for now tell me what made you worry." The Bakusquad wanted to talk first but they were curious about what Todoroki heard. "Bakugou seems to feel guilty about several things and was thinking about leaving UA because of that." Aizawa stayed calm but the other children were shocked. Their teacher didn't talk yet, looking at the Bakusquad, encouraging them to talk. Mina's voice was shaking when she finally ready to tell the shocking news she had to share. "He seemed... to hate himself. Hate himself enough to accept his parents' abuse. His mother hits him... and it seems his father too." This revelation was enough to make Aizawa's eyes wet. His student... how can someone touch him like that? "We will help him. We have to find a way for him to say it aloud. Without that, we can't help him..."

It was the beginning of a hard fight...
