His eyes widened as realization hit. “Oh fuck,” he breathed. “Fuck! No no no no no!”
He stood abruptly, almost sending his chair crashing to the floor as he started pacing around the room. “Oh god, this can’t be happening! Not now!”
Wednesday stared at him wide-eyed. “What? What’s happening? Tyler!”
He stopped in his tracks and stared back at her with a mixture of embarrassment and shame. “I...” he swallowed. “I’ve been run ragged these past few days; I’ve had extra shifts at the Weathervane and been studying like crazy for my chem and precalculus tests, so I forgot to take them, and I wanted to take them this morning but then I overslept so I was running late—”
“Tyler!” she interrupted, “Take what?”
