Captain Underpants: The Epilogue AU

Summary:

Taking place four years after the events of Book 12, not too long after George and Harold graduate Jerome Horwitz Elementary, the Epilogue AU follows Mr. Krupp as he is trying to work out a perfect setup to propose to Edith the Lunch Lady. But things go wayside as he discovers that a toy ring he picked up off the floor turns out to be no ordinary ring.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

The principal’s office was quiet with a touch of tension. Though today it wasn’t as tense as every day before today, whenever a certain pair of students frequented his office. This was anticipation.

The students in question were sitting in two chairs in front of his desk. A kid with a flat-top and tie, on his left, and a kid with a t-shirt and bad haircut, on his right. Both of them were holding rolled up scrolls of paper each tied with a ribbon.

The whole reason why they went out of their way to visit his office instead of going home like everyone else? Just like every other reason: over a comic book they made.

But this comic was different. Inside it was everything they planned to do in the future.

“So…Echo Hills?”

“Yep, Starting Tomorrow.”

The boys used to live on Vine Street. But Echo Hills was significantly further away. This was something bigger than the principal had imagined. The boys who always pulled pranks in school and were always two nasty thorns in his side weren’t just leaving school, but they were moving out of the neighborhood. It really was the end of an era after all.

With a big sigh, the principal slowly stood up by his desk. “In that case……I’ve got nothing more to say…except ‘Good Luck’.”

The boys pick up their backpacks and head towards the door.

“Well, Mr. Krupp, This is it.”

“We’re finally out of your hair.”

The principal glared

“Just kidding.”

And so the boys stepped out of the office for the final time.

As the boys held up their diplomas like champagne glasses and toasted to their future, Mr. Krupp grabbed his intercom and stepped up onto his desk.

“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, AT LONG LAST, GEORGE AND HAROLD HAVE GRADUATED!!!”
