This isn’t the first time. This isn’t even the tenth time. No, Barbatos’ attempts at love span several centuries, and each ends the same as the last—with heartbreak. In this new timeline, however, his ability to see the future is nonexistent; everything is unknown, including whether his true love will accept his confession. This time, he’ll try harder to give her what she deserves. At least, he thinks a good ending may be possible, if he’s careful enough with his time and decisions.
Sybil works at home as a paper-pusher for the Royal Crown. While she’s a great worker, much of her time is spent in her house near the city. When she finally ventures out to Lord Diavolo’s birthday gala for the first time and meets Barbatos, her life as a lesser demon shifts into a world of nobility and judgement. With the Prince’s goading, her relationship with Barbatos begins skirting a line she’s not sure she should cross.
