‘Sometimes it takes a great distance and heartfelt missing feeling to realise those missed ones are the ones you cannot live without.’
“I have missed you so so very much.” Hunter kept on whispering into Echo’s ear having been apart from his partner for far too long even if Hunter had kept on telling himself Echo was simply on another mission.
But it had only been a half truth. Something having been told for the others benefit but also trying to convince himself of the same during those cold and lonely nights.
Hunter gave Echo yet another soft peck on his lips never having been too comfortable of public displays of affection. But it had been far too long. The only worry being if Hunter was to linger any longer in Echo’s arms he might just not be able to control himself as the kisses kept on deepening each time.
“I have missed you too, Hunter.” Echo had responded in kind. “So, so very much.”
Echo’s arms around Hunter holding on for dear life. Not really wanting to let go of the warm lips devouring his own. Echo felt the heat emanating from Hunter and at the very moment he wanted nothing more than throw the scout on the nearest bed and ravish him. Alas, they were surrounded by their family only waiting for the two to do whatever they needed to do for now and then join them in what it was Rex wanted to show them.
“Later honey, later.” Hunter assured Echo while reluctantly untangling himself from his partner. The long separation not having been easy on either of them.
“Yeah, later.” Echo whispered back his warm breath close to Hunter’s ear sending all kinds of fuzzy and less fuzzy sensations running through Hunter’s already starving body igniting sparkles all around there soon to escalate into a roaring fire if he did not let go of Echo at the very moment.
And so, they both did let go. Well sort of. Joining the rest of the group while walking hand in hand towards the mess hall to see what the hubbub was really all about.
