All your life, you had lived in Mondstat and didn't really leave the safe walls of your home; your parents had also met within its walls and fallen in love, coming to buy a home along the shops of Mondstat where your father set up his own store where he provided fresh vegetables and ingredients and named it Mondstat Groceries. Soon after they had you, they were elated. As you grew up, your mother was there to raise you as she ran the store alongside you while your father, a merchant, went off to get ingredients and see the world, and he would satisfy your need to leave Mondstat by bringing back goods from everywhere in Teyvat.
As a child, you would run around the town of Mondstat, slipping away when your mother’s back was turned as she stocked up on goods or just whenever she wasn't looking. You'd run giggling away as you held your doll, the wind blowing through your hair, and there’s another reason for your love for Mondstat: the endless wind that would blow through your hair. You adored the sensation. In one of these instances, you also met Albedo as a small child. Yet again, you split away from your mom as she was making dinner. It was only a matter of time before she frantically saw you were gone and would begin to run around Mondstat as well in search of you. You were giggling as you ran around the town, passing by several shops as people moved away quickly to not collide with you. Your usual routine was to run around the fountain until you tired out, but you bumped into someone, knocking your head straight against theirs, and you fell on your bum while they weren't so lucky and fell right on their heads. You got up frantically and looked at the blond boy on the floor, and you began sputtering out apologies as you held his hand and brought him up. But he didn't seem fazed; he just rubbed his head.
"It's okay, it was an accident." He said it so calmly that you just looked at him, puzzled as to why he wasn't crying or upset with you. Most kids would have started screeching at the top of their lungs, as you sure know they would have.
"Why aren't you crying? Doesn't it hurt?" You said gently looking at the back of his head. There seemed to be nothing wrong with it, so you let him go.
"It was just a fall; there isn't any need to cry over it. I feel fine also, seeing as your trying to comfort me puts me at ease." Yet again, you stood there; none of your friends talked like this boy, and it was kind of weird, to say the least. Was he possessed? Or did he really hit his head that hard?
"Are you sure you aren't hurt your talking funny? Is a ghost controlling you? Dont worry, I’ll get rid of it." With a little puff in your chest again, you looked at the back of his head with worry. But he laughed a wonderful, full laugh that made you stop, and you looked at him again, but this time with amazement; his laugh was like music.
"No one has made me laugh like that, thank you." He said as he scribbled away in a little book. You just looked and studied him, came to an understanding, and held his hands, which left him stunned now.
"I promise to protect you, prince!" He just looked at you like you were an alien and was very flustered.
"I'm not a prince. I'm an alchemist." Silence... Well, that was okay.
"Okay, Prince Alchemist, I promise to protect you forever." You said it with a big smile.
And oddly enough, this is how you and Albedo’s friendship began since you were small kids, due to a fall and a forever oath you made to him. One simple collision tied your heart to him.
