Light seeped through the curtains as Cater rolled over the soft linen bed, he clutched a club-shaped pillow against his chest—eyes fixated on his phone. He had been scrolling for hours, bookmarking certain poses for later picture sessions or trending desserts to show Trey in the future. The latter was hunched over his desk, writing down the last reports of the day of misbehaving dorm students, double checking birthdays to arrange the next unbirthday tea party, editing a research paper for chemistry club… lots of paperwork.
Despite the two not exchanging words in the past hour, they enjoyed each other's company. They were relishing in the needed silence after another eventful day in the heartslyabul dorm . Cater shifted in the borrowed bed again, this time positioning himself in a way he could take a picture of the vice dorm head. The golden honey light framed Trey in a way that made him impossible to not look at— Cater bit his lip as he adjusted his camera to get the right framing.

The sudden sounds snapped Trey from his writing trance, he froze for a brief moment registering what just happened, and glanced over to the redhead with his signature smirk. The said redhead was hiding behind his phone smiling as he was already on task to edit and enhance the photo he just took.
“Why now of all times?” the vice dorm head sighed with a smile as he stretched back in his chair, rolling his writing wrist.
“ It’s golden hour.” The picture culprit hummed as he added the last adjustments before showing his model his handiwork. “Plus you always look good in candid photos.”
Trey turned his body toward his bed and looked closer at the photo. He hates to admit it but he did look really good in this photo— the warm light enhanced the color of his eyes, and he was perfectly positioned in a way where the shadows from the window didn’t obscure parts of his face. Deciding he needed a break from the screen Cater rested his eyes as he let his phone out of his grasp, letting Trey admire his artwork.

The redhead blinked his eyes open and turned toward the source of the sound. A smirk was imprinted on the one behind the phone.

“STOP TAKING PHOTOS!” Cater flushed as he snatched his phone back from Trey’s firm grip.
“ But it’s the golden hour.” The greenhead teased as he stood from his chair and slipped next to the flushed figure. “Plus you always look good in photos” he hummed as he nudged closer to watch cater edit the photos.
“Not all the time..” Cater pouted as he went on autopilot editing the photos. “ you’re just lucky you got a picture of my good side”
“Every side is a good side” Trey hummed as he planted a gentle kiss on the top of soft wavy locks. Cater flushed again as he stared at the photo— despite having his eyes closed briefly, the picture looked like he was in a deep slumber.
“That’s because you can’t stop staring at me.” He quipped as he turned his head to gaze into amber eyes, this time making the latter blush.
With a loss of words, Trey huffs out a chuckle and closes the space between them— kissing Cater properly.
