Marinette tapped away at her phone.
She had finally gotten the courage to confess to Adrien.
And she was extremely anxious.
When she sent it, she gently set it down next to her as she laid down in her bed.
She almost immediately received a reply.
She shrieked and tossed her phone across the bed.
And after calming down, she picked it up, and sighed in relief.
It was just Felix.
But when she saw his text, she wanted the ground to open up and swallow her whole.
She had sent it to Felix.
Felix: I think you have the wrong number Marinette. I’m sure Adrien would be flattered, but I doubt he’d not be a fan of the ten paragraphs you sent.
Marinette: Oh shoot please don’t tell him!
Felix: Don’t worry. I won’t tell Adrien what a ‘beautiful sunflower’ he is.
Was he mocking her?!
Whatever.
She’d confess for real someday.
Just not now.
The next day, Marinette was helping her parents with mobile orders for the bakery.
She pulled out her phone to send the order confirmation.
This person had ordered several times before, so she had it in her contacts to make it easier.
But somehow, for some stupid reason, she sent it to Felix.
Felix: No, I did not place an order. And my name is Felix, not John. You have the wrong number.
Marinette almost died of embarrassment. Why does this keep happening to her?
Marinette: Sorry, I meant to send that to someone else. Sorry!
Felix: I’m not even gonna ask how you mixed up the numbers this time.
Later that day, she decided to text Luka.
Big mistake.
Felix: Miss Dupain-Cheng, this is absurd. First of all, who the freak is Luka? Second, you really should get better at texting. This is insanity.
Marinette: Sorry. I didn’t mean it, I don’t know why I keep doing that
Felix: From now on, please refrain from messaging me. Unless it’s school or Adrien related. Have a good day.
For some reason, Marinette felt like crying after that.
He didn’t need to be a jerk about it!
Everyone makes mistakes!
It drove her insane.
Later that week, Marinette and Kagami were hanging out.
Marinette was showing Kagami random memes, and decided to send her some when she arrived.
She sent one of them to Kagami before she fell asleep.
Or at least, she THOUGHT it was Kagami.
And unfortunately, it was something that Felix could consider pretty offensive.
It was a meme of Adrien from the ‘Adrien the fragrance’ ad saying ‘When you’ve had to many drugs’
Adrien didn’t mind the memes. He thought they were pretty funny.
But Felix on the other hand, absolutely HATED them.
Felix: Miss Dupain-Cheng, that ‘meme’ is horribly offensive. I’m shocked Adrien is okay with this inhumane garbage and the fact you are okay with sending it to me makes me wonder if you actually want to date or even be friends with my cousin.
Marinette: It was meant for Kagami, first of all. Also, you know perfectly well Adrien doesn’t mind them. And I sent it without context because me and Kagami were actually upset about that one, and she wanted me to send it to her so she could show Gabriel whenever she got the chance.
Felix: Alright. But please stop ‘accidentally’ texting me. This is getting insane.
Marinette sighed and put her phone away.
Will she ever win with this guy?!
He drove her crazy!
When would he just loosen up a little and not get so offended over something that was out of her control.
On Saturday, Marinette was getting ready to go hang out with Alya, Nino, and Adrien.
She wore a light blue tank top with lace on the edges and a white skirt that was just above her knees with her hair half up.
She took a picture and tried to send it to Alya, asking how it looked.
But of course, she sent it to Felix.
She almost died when she noticed.
She mentally cursed when she saw him begin to reply.
He was surely gonna go insane.
But his response caught her off guard.
Felix: Beautiful <3
Marinette: … I meant to send that to Alya. You don’t need to mock me.
Felix: I’m not mocking you. What I said was true. You’re beautiful.
