Summary

Now Shuichi fumbles through trying to salvage his friendship with Kaede, rooming with the boisterous Kaito Momota who seems determined to be his new best friend, awkward team-bonding activities with the rest of his group orchestrated by the unnerving Monokuma, and confusing conversations with the childish yet enigmatic trickster, Kokichi Ouma.

“Hey- oh, Nagito-” All elegance Komaeda might hold shatters like glass. They land hard against a shelf, hard enough Hinata's shoulderblades hit a wooden edge. “Shit. Okay, *fuck*, shit.”
Chapped lips part and he pants in pain. If Hinata could sober up, now would be the time. “I- its-” he grapples at a bicep, nails biting. Hinata huffs a gasp. *Ow.*
“Sorry for shaking so much,” he huffs, “I should've warned you.” The tremoring is calming. Hinata runs a hand up his back and everything feels stable, he thinks. *Stable as you get with Komaeda.*
“It was worth it to wake up with you,” he whispers. Its not nearly quiet enough. Komaeda looks at him, unguarded. *Its worth dealing with the scary shit if I can be there when you need me.* The wretching in that bathroom feels lightyears away.
But the library ceiling was too high, too vaulted, things echoing too far. It talks back.
And that's just his luck, right?

Komaeda's voice comes out rough, breathy, “Oh, fuck.” Kuzuryuu's head snaps.“Oh, *fuck* no,” he mutters. Souda's eyes are wide as saucers.

Adrien has mastered the art of the smile. Even while his mind is on poor behavior, when he's caught beneath a barrage of unkind thoughts to himself, he's still able to keep his smile. Attend his friends' parties, maintain small talk, get through the day — and hopefully his friends won't realize how messed up he really is.
Everyone is out-pacing him. While he's barely getting out of bed in the morning, his friends are making waves, changing lives, getting engaged.
He can't even get his girlfriend to text him back.
So, sure. Maybe he's not in the best head space right now — but 'suicidal'? Ladybug's certainly just reading too deeply into things. But if her concern for Chat Noir's mental state is enough to get her reaching out, well, he won't turn down the opportunity to chat with a friend. Besides, Ladybug seems to be having a rough go of it, too. Maybe they can help each other out.
