Sometimes Yuujirou just wished he could stay like this forever, curled up on the slightly nicer than usual twin sized bed in his dorm with his boyfriend fast asleep in his arms. The rain outside fell peacefully on the roof, the soft pitter-patter calming the cuddling two. It was nice, just relaxing in each other's embrace, no worrying about their Princess duties or family problems.
Yuujirou gently stroked Tohru's hair, a soft smile gracing his features. Moments like these were Yuujirou's favorites and made him grateful for the rain. President Arisada always canceled Princess duties when it rained for fear that the Princesses may get sick, honestly Yuujirou and Tohru were just glad for any excuse to be able to spend more time together closer than friends.
While Yuujirou and Tohru didn't mind the Princess duties like Mikoto did, it was still nice to have a day off every once in a while to just spend a day chilling together.
There was a knock at the door and, reluctantly, Yuujirou untangled himself from Tohru to answer the door, waking the greenett, who groaned sleepily in protest. The blond controlled the expression on his face, replacing the scowl with his best Princess smile.
The scowl made its way back onto his face when he noticed it was just Mikoto at the door.
"What do you want?" he asked the pinkett.
"Good grief, remind me to never invite you two to do anything." Mikoto grumbled, "what I wanted is to ask if you and Kouno-kun wanted to go to that new coffee shop since we have a free day."
"What, your girlfriend didn't want to go with you, so you resort to asking Tohruko-chan and I like we are nothing more than merely your mistresses." Yuujirou teased, his eyes tearing up dramatically.
"Whatever, forget I asked." Mikoto rolled his eyes and began to turn away.
Tohru sat up and stretched as he added, "you always push Yuu-chan and I to the side whenever your girlfriend is available, how else do you expect us to think?"
"He doesn't care how we feel." the boyfriends embraced, continuing to pretend to be sad as a way to tease their fellow Princess.
"Oh my god, would you two just fucking stop?!" the pinkett basically screeched, clearly not amused, just making Yuujirou and Tohru laugh their asses off.
"Okay, okay." Tohru said once he could breathe again, "if you give a few minutes to get ready, we'll go with you to the coffee shop." Mikoto nodded and left.
In about 45 minutes, Yuujirou and Tohru were ready to go.
Sure this was no cuddling on the bed, but sitting close together drinking coffee was nice too, and the rain hitting the coffee shop's metal roof was a pleasant addition. The two were mostly lost in their own world, but occasionally they didn't hear what Mikoto was saying to them.
The pinkett just shook his head, watching his two friends staring at each other all dumb and in love. He was pretty sure the entire world knew that they were together, or at the very least in love, but seeing as they had never said anything, he wasn't going to push them.
Yuujirou and Tohru seemed to have completely forgotten about their friend's existence, or rather, they had forgotten that anyone else existed in the world except for the two of them. They leaned their forehead against each other's and listened to the rain as they gazed into each other's eyes.
It sure was lovely to be close to each other during a rainy day.
