Work Text:
High up in a tree I gaze
At spring as she blooms today,
From daffodils to daisies
From nymphs to fairies,
The breeze swings in gentle play.
The sound of birdsong fills the air,
As they flit and flutter without a care.
The world is alive, it’s plain to bear
As spring brings new life everywhere.
When the duckling becomes an ivory swan,
And the butterfly outgrows its cocoon,
I gaze up and wonder how once upon,
We’d grow just like them soon.
