Work Text:
“Magnus, are you here?” Alec asks as he closed the door behind him and puts down his bow and arrows by the door, before taking off his jacket.
“I’m in my workroom, darling. Just a second.” Alec hears Magnus reply.
Alec smiles and walks towards the couch in the living room, sitting down with a sigh. He closes his eyes for a moment and realizes how exhausted he really was. They were sent to the nearest cemetery to get rid of some Forsaken.
Alec opens his eyes again and sees Magnus walking up to him.
“Hello, Alexander. I just needed to finish a potion for my client,” Magnus explains and bent down to kiss Alec.
“No problem. I’m happy that I’m here now. Today was really exhausting for me,” Alec says after they break the kiss.
Magnus lets his gaze wander over Alec’s face and hands, which were covered in blood. He had never noticed until now how attractive that makes Alec look.
“What?” Alec starts to feel a little uncomfortable under Magnus’ intense stare.
“Blood looks good on you.” He said with a smirk.
“Not really my go-to style.” Alec shrugs and looks down at his hands, which have blood on them from the Forsaken.
“Maybe, but it makes you look very attractive,” Magnus says as he leans down and locks their lips together into a passionate kiss.
Alec closes his eyes and wraps his arms around Magnus’ waist to pull him onto his lap. Magnus breaks the kiss for a second and makes himself comfortable on Alec’s lap, before kissing him again.
Alec sighs as he feels Magnus’ hands in his hair. He loves it when Magnus does that. He moves his hands up and down Magnus’ red robe, feeling the soft fabric.
Magnus breaks the kiss and moves his hand to Alec’s cheek, caressing the warm skin.
“Do you want me to make the blood disappears?” Magnus asks softly and removes his hand from Alec’s cheek.
“That would be nice,” Alec answers and watches as blue sparks of magic dance around Magnus’ fingers.
Magnus moves his hand across Alec’s face where the blood was and makes it disappears, cleaning Alec’s face.
Alec smiles softly at his boyfriend. Magnus’ magic was always fascinating for him, and it still surprises him how it felt, like a feather-light touch.
“You like how my magic felt against your skin?” Magnus learned soon how fascinating his boyfriend was about his magic, and that Alec liked the feeling of it against his skin. It warms Magnus’ heart every time. Magnus had never dreamed of meeting someone like Alec, especially a shadowhunter.
“Yes, it feels nice.”
Magnus leans down and gives Alec a quick peck on his lips. He takes Alec’s hand between his own and lets his magic make the blood disappear.
“Now you’re clean.”
“Thank you, Magnus.”
“You’re welcome, darling. How about I make us some dinner? After this exhausting day, you must be hungry,” Magnus suggests and climbs from Alec’s lap, making his way to the kitchen.
With a smile on his face, Alec stands up and follows Magnus to the kitchen. He couldn’t ask for a better boyfriend than Magnus. Alec is sure of that.
