“Sometimes I think I shouldn’t mourn him,” Celebrimbor muttered, staring at the blue flowers. “After all, who would mourn the traitor of Gondolin?”
Erestor laid an arm around his shoulder. “We mourn our fathers too, kinslayers though they are, do we not?”
“You loved him,” Elrond said gently. “You are allowed to mourn him, whatever became of him later.”
“Sometimes I feel I am betraying him, loving you…”
Elrond took his hand. “A heart can hold many loves.”
“Your love for us does not diminish your love for him,” Erestor promised. “I hope we get to meet him one day.”
