Work Text:
The first time Elrond kisses him, Erestor understands what peace is.
His life has been nothing but war. His father had tried so hard to give him a peaceful childhood, but war-torn Beleriand allowed no peace.
His hands are stained with blood, his dreams filled with smoke and the screams of dying Elves.
He has learned to fight, or die.
Elrond is peace. Elrond is innocence. Elrond is everything Erestor is not, and he loves him for it.
Elrond kisses his bloody hands and holds him through his nightmares.
Elrond shows him what it is to no longer be alone.
