Dressed in Raven Wings

Summary:

(An AU of Hunter Feng Xin shooting Young Deity Mu Qing in the forest, and he was captivated over Mu Qing's beauty)

"It hurts." The entity gritted. "My wings hurt, you stupid jerk!" It finally spoke, or was it a he?

He was definitely a male with his thin-sounding voice and his torso...slim but defined. Feng Xin's throat bobbed as his eyes wondered to the entity's chest to his abdomen.

"I—I— w-what are you?" His voice trembled, but he was truly enjoying getting caged by this thing.

"You're asking that?" The entity slid his other hand to Feng Xin's throat. "Shouldn't you be more concerned that I'm literally thinking of ways to torture you, like feeding you to my friends?" He sneered. "Would you like that?"

Chapter Text

Feng Xin went hunting just like any other day. And just like any other day, he went by instinct whenever he heard a random sound from behind and shot in that direction.

He missed. But, when he turned he saw humongous black wings, almost like a raven's but big.

He was terrified! To think that something that big exists and no one reported it to their city?! He panicked, and this time he made sure to use three arrows to shoot this thing.

Two of his arrows hit the wings. With delight, he grinned until he heard a groan and a swear.

"FUCK!!!"

And just like that, the entity flew in his direction like a black flash, and before he knew it, he was pinned on the ground with his wrists tied together with one hand.

Black menacing eyes narrowed their eyes at him, raven hair cascading down to his cheeks, and lips...lips so dark but accentuated beautifully by pale skin. And shit, holy fuck. They were entrancing. Feng Xin would, no doubt, follow this entity to a suspicious area if he were asked.

He'll do it with a smile painted in his face.

Feng Xin shivered and got back to reality when the entity's legs shifted, caging him. With his wrists tied on top of his head, he felt trapped. But did it matter? Someone—something so beautiful—is staring at him.

Feng Xin's lips pressed together, he can't die. He doesn't want to die yet! Oh no, no, no, not when he just discovered something so beautiful. But for real, to see something this beautiful before dying is a blessing, but not now!

"I-I'm sorry, please...let me fix it for you."

The entity stared at him in disbelief. Was this little shit so desperate to live that he was willing to let down his pride? Yes, he didn't look like one to beg. Or was he tricking him into releasing him so he could shoot him another arrow to finish him off?

"Ha!" He scoffed, he would rather kill him right here, right now than endanger himself any further.

He raised his hand and his dark nails grew sharp.

"P-PLEASE! I'm really sorry! I promise I won't hurt you; I really do wanna fix your wound!"

"You caused this wound and you want to fix it? Make that make sense!"

It actually made sense, if a person had a chance to make things right in exchange for his life, anyone would do it.

Crimson blood started dripping on Feng Xin's side, and the entity's lips quivered. Clearly, he was trying to tolerate the pain.

"Please...I know you're in pain. I promise, I won't hurt you again."

The entity anxiously loosened his grip, and Feng Xin waited patiently before making any type of motion. He wouldn't want to lose his trust completely, now, wouldn't he?

When the entity finally sat up and moved to the side, Feng Xin too sat up in the given space.

"I, uh, only have herbs with me; I didn't bring any medicine..." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Then why would you even offer?! You think some herbs will fix my wings?!" The entity questioned him, exasperated.

"Could you fucking relax?!"

"RELAX?!" The entity shouted. "MY WINGS ARE IN EXTREME PAIN!!!"

The entity started screaming, and Feng Xin felt his ears ring from the wave.

"For now, I can patch you up and bring you to my hut." Feng Xin stood up and held out his hand. "I'll treat you there completely."

"Treat or kill?" The entity raised his brow. "Which one?"

"Fucking— Couldn't you even trust me?!"

"Trust the guy who shot me? Not a chance." He said it sarcastically as he rolled his eyes.

Feng Xin huffed, wrapping his hand around the entity's wrist. A really good way to gain something's trust, now, is it?

The entity glared at him and tried to pull his hand back, no movement. Feng Xin's grip was too strong.

"YOU REALLY ARE TRYING TO KILL ME! I KNEW I COULDN'T TRUST YOU, LET GO!"

"FOR FUCK'S SAKE, I'M BEING A GOOD PERSON HERE!"

"I'M GOING TO CALL MY FRIENDS!"

The entity opened his mouth, and a hand covered it as soon as it opened. He grabbed Feng Xin's wrist with his other hand and gripped him tightly. Feng Xin winced in pain.

"Oh fuck, shut up!" Feng Xin roared. "Your wings are bleeding; it needs immediate attention; will you just fucking trust me?!"

The entity mumbled to his hand, and Feng Xin let go.

"I swear to God, I will fucking kill you if you tried anything."

Feng Xin nodded, helding out his hand again.

This time, the entity accepted and placed his hand on Feng Xin's.

The feather on his hand made it soft.

The entity soon shifted, his back—or rather, his wings—facing Feng Xin. Feng Xin was no medic, but he learned a thing or two from always traveling alone.

The wings were dark. Hence, Feng Xin examined the entity's wings by tracing his fingers from its sides to its center. After doing so, he heard a yelp from the entity, and he checked his fingers to spot the crimson blood on the tips of them.

"Sit down for a minute."

"Are you sure you won't be putting poison on my wings?"

"Shut the fuck up, I won't be doing that."

The entity rolled his eyes but followed Feng Xin's instructions.

Feng Xin searched through his little sack and pulled out some herbs, soon crushing them to bits with his mortar and pestle to produce some liquid.

The entity flinched when the crushed moist herbs were gently spreaded on his wings.

"This will be quick, don't worry." Feng Xin reassured.

"Okay," he hissed, laying his head on Feng Xin's chest.

FUCK FUCK FUCK— Feng Xin— at this point, was panicking. The beautiful creature was laying his head on his chest! His chest! He almost applied pressure to his fingers from the sudden intimacy.

His heart throbbed painfully inside his chest, trying hard to breathe normally, especially when the entity was close to his beating heart. He wondered if the entity could hear it.

But his panic dropped when he felt the entity's forehead burning up, he places his hand on the area.

"You have a fever."

"Oh shit, wow, I wonder why." Feng Xin frowned at the sarcastic statement but said nothing. Instead, he pulled his yellow ribbon from his bun and tried to wrap the entity's wounds. But the ribbon was too small so instead, he patted the wounds for any excess blood.

He held his hand and stood up; the entity followed from being pulled.

"I'm taking you to my hut."

"You better not kill a vulnerable prey."

"Stop that, I'm not killing you.

"Sure."

They walked on the path with their hands clasped together as time passed.

"What's your name?"

"Mu Qing."

Feng Xin hums. "That's pretty."

"Mhm..."

"..."

"..."

Silence followed awkwardly for a few moments until Mu Qing moved his lips again.

"What's yours?"

"Feng Xin."

"Okay."

The rest of the trip was quiet, and Mu Qing started relaxing on the way until they reached Feng Xin's hut.

It was built in solitude; trees surrounded the dark oak hut, and the sunset's light streamed over it.

Mu Qing's eyes wondered over its beautiful exterior.

"Beautiful."

Feng Xin grinned proudly as he tried to pull Mu Qing inside the hut but was stopped over a small sound.

"Ngh—"

He heard a whine and turned around.

He saw Mu Qing struggling to fit his raven wings.

"The d-door is small..."

"Can you wrap yourself?"

"I'll try."

Mu Qing raised his wings, fitting them to his body like a dress. The feathers danced side to side from being pulled by Mu Qing, almost like fabric. Mu Qing's pale skin is more accentuated by the dark colors surrounding him.

Feng Xin turned around with his back facing Mu Qing and clasped his mouth. Fucking gorgeous.

Images flashed through his mind of Mu Qing wearing an actual dress.

He felt embarrassed for thinking.

"Okay, I think it fits now."

Mu Qing finally entered the hut, and his eyes scanned the area like those of a curious cat.

Feng Xin finds it cute and lets him be.

"Sit there," he said, pointing at the couch. "I'll go find the medicines for you."

Mu Qing nodded and obediently sat.

Feng Xin finally let go of his hand and left Mu Qing in the room as he went to the kitchen, rummaging through the cabinets. He found the medicine suited for Mu Qing's wounds and for his burning fever.

He grabbed other necessities and ran back to Mu Qing.

From the threshold, he paused and almost dropped everything when he saw what Mu Qing was holding.

It was Jian Lan's picture frame.

"O-oi oi oi!" Feng Xin rushed to Mu Qing's side and grabbed the picture frame. He looked pale— blue, despite his wheat-colored skin.

Mu Qing was puzzled.

"Your wife?" He asked.

"N-NO! You don't have to think about her!"

"She's beautiful."

You are.

"T-this is not your business, all I can say is she is not my wife!"

"Hm, you're acting as if I'm a mistress." Mu Qing wrapped himself, shuddering. "I feel violated."

"VIOLATED?!"

"Violated." Mu Qing repeated it nonchalantly.

"Whatever! Give me your wings!" He shouted after placing the picture frame facedown on the cabinet, Mu Qing stared at it for a few seconds before turning his back.

Time passed, and Mu Qing's wings are now wrapped in bandages. With his wings bundled up, he shouldn't be able to fly for a few weeks.

"Here." Feng Xin placed a medicine on Mu Qing's hand and gave him a glass of water at the other.

"What is this?"

"For your fever, stupid."

Mu Qing furrowed his brows and drank the medicine given to him, he didn't make a sarcastic remark this time.

"You could stay here for a bit until your fever subsides and your wounds heal." Feng Xin suggested.

"And get myself caught by your species and then actually get myself killed?" He took another drink from the glass of water. "No way."

"Y-you! I live alone and really far away from the city." Feng Xin leaned for a bit. "You're safe here."

"If I slept here, you will kill me in my sleep. Again, no way."

Feng Xin clenched his fists in frustration.

"FINE! Whatever happens to you outside is not my problem!"

"You are right, it's not. So why did you help me?" Mu Qing's dark eyes looked directly into Feng Xin's golden eyes. "Really, you could've easily spread poison to my wings, poison this water, or make me drink a suspicious drug. So why? Why did you not go back from your words?"

"I'm an honest man, that's it." He couldn't say he was drooling mentally for him, now, couldn't he? "Why did you accept everything anyways if you were so suspicious of me?"

Mu Qing pointed at his nose. "With my sense of smell, I'll know what I can consume and take."

"You knew everything I've given you and you were still suspicious of me?!" Feng Xin gaped in disbelief.

Mu Qing propped his chin and grinned. "What can I say? You're amusing."

Feng Xin crossed his arms and looked away. Fuck, stop smiling.

"Fuck you."
