Stars and Guinea pigs

Summary:

Craig reached over and brushed a strand of hair out of Tweek's face. "You know what I think is even more exciting?"

Tweek looked at him, a small smile playing on his lips. "What?"

Craig leaned in and whispered, "You."

Work Text:

Craig and Tweek laid on a blanket on the grass, their eyes fixed on the night sky filled with twinkling stars. Tweek let out a small gasp as he saw a shooting star fly across the sky.

"Did you see that, Craig? That was amazing!" Tweek exclaimed, his eyes still fixed on the spot where the shooting star disappeared.

Craig smiled and turned his gaze towards Tweek. He couldn't help but admire the way Tweek looked under the starry sky. The faint light of the stars made his freckles stand out even more, and to Craig, they looked like tiny stars themselves.

"Yeah, it was pretty cool," Craig said, trying to sound casual, but his heart was racing. He couldn't stop thinking about how much he loved Tweek, and being under the stars with him made him feel closer to him than ever.

Tweek turned his head to face Craig, his eyes filled with excitement. "You know, Craig, I read that guinea pigs are used to predict the weather in some parts of South America. They can tell when there's going to be a storm."

Craig chuckled. "That's pretty interesting, Tweek. But I think I prefer using a weather app instead of a guinea pig."

Tweek laughed, and Craig couldn't help but smile at the sound. "I know, I know. It's silly," Tweek said, still chuckling. "But it's cool to think about, you know?"

Craig nodded. "Yeah, it is. You always find the coolest things, Tweek."

Tweek blushed, and Craig's heart skipped a beat. He reached out and gently took Tweek's hand in his. Tweek looked up at him, and Craig couldn't resist leaning in for a kiss.

Their lips met, and Craig felt like he was flying. The stars and the guinea pigs and everything else faded away, and all that mattered was Tweek. He pulled away and looked into Tweek's eyes.

"Tweek, I love you," Craig said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Tweek's eyes widened, and he looked surprised. But then he smiled, a genuine smile that made Craig's heart soar. "I love you too, Craig."

They lay back down on the blanket, their fingers intertwined. Craig couldn't take his eyes off Tweek. He watched as Tweek stared up at the stars, his expression one of wonder and amazement. Craig felt like he was the luckiest person in the world to have Tweek by his side.

As they lay there, talking about everything and nothing, Craig realized that he didn't need the stars or the guinea pigs to make him happy. All he needed was Tweek.

"Craig, look!" Tweek pointed up to the sky, "Do you see that constellation over there? It's Orion, the hunter."

Craig turned his gaze to where Tweek was pointing and squinted his eyes. "Oh yeah, I see it now. It kind of looks like a bow and arrow, doesn't it?"

Tweek nodded excitedly. "Yes, that's exactly what it is! I used to have a book about constellations when I was a kid. I loved looking at the pictures and imagining what the stars would look like if we could get closer to them."

Craig smiled at Tweek's enthusiasm. He loved how Tweek was so passionate about everything he did, whether it was guinea pigs or constellations. He found himself getting lost in Tweek's words, mesmerized by the way his eyes lit up when he talked about something he loved.

"Craig, do you ever wonder if there's life on other planets?" Tweek asked suddenly, breaking Craig out of his thoughts.

Craig shrugged. "I don't know. I guess it's possible. There are billions of stars out there, so it's hard to believe that we're the only ones in the universe."

Tweek nodded, his eyes still fixed on the sky. "Yeah, I think about that a lot. It's kind of scary to think about, but also kind of exciting."

Craig reached over and brushed a strand of hair out of Tweek's face. "You know what I think is even more exciting?"

Tweek looked at him, a small smile playing on his lips. "What?"

Craig leaned in and whispered, "You."

Tweek blushed, and Craig felt a surge of affection for him. He wrapped his arms around Tweek and pulled him close, kissing him softly on the lips.

They stayed like that for a while, lost in their own little world under the starry sky. The guinea pigs and constellations were forgotten as they talked about their hopes and dreams, their fears and worries, and everything in between.

As the night wore on, they fell asleep in each other's arms, the stars still twinkling above them. Craig knew that he would always treasure this moment, the memory of being under the stars with Tweek, talking about guinea pigs and constellations, and falling in love.
