They met on a mission, when everything was falling apart in Zack’s life. He’d been promoted just in time for Genesis to go AWOL. Angeal followed Genesis not long after, and Sephiroth was lost, trying to understand. Zack was lost too, grieving and fucking up his new relationship with Aerith. He’d pulled some cheesy line and Cloud had laughed, then pulled off his helmet and-Hair. Eyes. Smile.
