“The competition is heating up. Oh, here’s Kaveh bringing up the rear.” Al-Haitham’s narration sounded out as Kaveh grabs Faruzan’s prism and ended up getting flown away by it. Meanwhile, Scaramouche and Cyno is battling against each other for the crown that was being held by Scaramouche. Scaramouche mananged to blocks off Cyno’s attack with one of his hands that isn’t holding the crown, the Generel Mahamatra strikes again with more power this time, and managed to make Scaramouche stumbled and accidentally drops the crown. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, the General Mahamatra grabs the crown immediately. The Spantamad Darshan that were presented at the competition cheers as the The General Mahamatra, Cyno or the Spantamad Darshan’s representative takes the crown and starts to lead the competition.
Cyno dashes and avoids the other Darshans attacks by shielding them with his trusted weapon, the Staff of Homa. As he’s almost winning the competition, Scaramouche suddenly sneaks from behind him, sending a wind swirls into Cyno’s ways, being unprepared of it, he almost stumbled over, but holding onto the crown tightly. Cyno dashes again swiftly and wins the competition. Delighted that he won the competition, the General Mahamatra lets a little smile to appears on his face. Before going up the stage to get the rewards from Lord Kusanali, the Sumeru Archon herself, he gives Scaramouche a little nod in a way to say “good fight”, before giving the rewards, Lord Kusanali gives a few encouraging words to the others Darshans and congratulated the Spantamad Darshan again for winning. Cyno gives the Sumeru Archon a respectful bow, before taking the rewards that were given to him, as he go down the stage, some of his matras, friends and the Spantamad Darshan congratulated him for his hard earned win. Even his friend Kaveh that was from the opponent Darshan, suggested to do a little celebration at Lambad’s with their circle of friends soon. He merely responded to them with a “grateful” nod and in response to Kaveh’s suggestion with a reply:
“That would be great, since it’s been a while since our last meet up, i’ll write a letter to you regarding it soon. I couldn’t possible abandon my duties after all.” Cyno said, as he gives the competition rewards to one of his matras, to be given to the Akademiya later on. As he makes his ways to leave, Scaramouche stopped him to have a few words with him, Cyno thinks the guy looks harmless and doesn’t posses any threats, so he agreed.
As the conversation goes on, Cyno comes to a realization that the both of them have more in commons than they thought, so they comes to an agreement that they should stay in contact. “To be honest, I really didn’t expect that I would have a few things in commons with the fearsome General Mahamatra, its really nice to get know you properly, General.”, Scaramouche said, giving Cyno a tiled smile. “Oh please, there’s no need for formal title anymore, Cyno is fine.”, Cyno said, giving him a smile back. “Cyno it is then. Well, I don’t know about you, but i’m a little beat after the competition, so I will take my leave now. How about we stay in contact, Cyno?”, Scaramouches looks at Cyno with an indescribable gaze as he’s waiting for his answer. “Ah, yes, I’m a bit tired myself. Yes, we can stay in contact. I’ll see you around.”, with that the conversation ends and the both of them take their leave.
Cyno reached his place to found out that his older sister, Candace is waiting for him at the front door with a bag of foods. He opens the door to lets her in, they catches up with each other lifes while eating the foods that were brought by Candace, such as about their works and how they’ve been doing. Cyno offers his sister to stay the night, since its too late to go back to Aaru Village by herself, she gladly accepted his offer, assuring him that she’ll be gone in early morning. In the next morning, Cyno wakes up a bit later than usual, since he was given a day off for winning the competition yesterday, there’s no trace of his sister, since she probably leaves in the early morning like she said last night. He gets ready for the day by washing up first, then have a simple breakfast. Not sure on how to spend his day off, he walks to the Akademiya to go to the House of Daena to review a few of his matras reports. Granted, it was still his day off, so he didn’t want to do much. As he’s almost finish with reviewing the last reports, he spotted Tighnari, his past lover turned to only friends, because they didn’t works out, coming towards his table. Cyno only looks at him with a confusing gaze, hoping for Tighnari to speaks first. “Hello, Cyno. Nice seeing you here. I apologize for not being able to witness you winning the competition yesterday, i’ve been doing a research for a new plant that I found recently.”, Tighnari says with an apologetic look on his face. “Oh, no, it’s completely fine, Tighnari. Its nice seeing you here too.”, Cyno says dismissing his apology. The matra’s report is being forgotten as they keep on conversing, Cyno brings up Kaveh’s a little winning celebration meet up to Tighnari as well, then bids his goodbye to spend the rest of his day off.
Cyno spend the rest of his day off by going to Lambad’s to eat dinner there and perhaps finish reviewing the last report. Unexpectedly, he sees Scaramouche sitting alone in the corner, seems occupied with the book he was reading. With a little hesitation, Cyno walks towards his table, and asks him if is it okay to join him. Scaramouche seems a little surprise, almost drop the book he was reading, and allows him to join him. Cyno realized and mutters an apology as he takes a seat in front of him. “I apologize, I didn’t mean to startles you. Have you eaten yet? It would be impolite of me if I eat all alone.”, Cyno apologized and offers him to eat together. “No, it’s fine, Cyno. I’m the one who was really focusing on reading this book.” He waves the book around to show it to him, before answering his question. “I’m not really hungry, I don’t mind that you eat all alone.”, comes his reply. “Well, if you say so, but if you change your mind, I don’t mind buying you something.”, Cyno reply as he’s offering to buy Scaramouche food. “Is the General Mahamatra offering to buy me food? Well, then I can’t refuse it, can I? I’ll have what you’re eating, please.”, Scaramouche says in a teasing manner. Cyno lets out a little chuckle for his teasing, ordered the same meal as his and returns to the table with it. The both of them shares a few jokes and laughs as they’re getting to know more about each other. Who knows? this might be a great start of a new friendship, or mayhaps even more than that…
