Work Text:

“Please, for the live of god. Don’t try to kill him this time” Sam sighed, putting the car in park

Sidney rolled her eyes and sighed, fine that might have been fair, but still! She unbuckled her seatbelt and joined Sam, who at some point unbuckled her own seatbelt and exited the car.

Sam didn’t seem to pleased to have Sidney there. Even after she apologized, she didn’t appreciate her going to Woodsboro to confront Billy. Sidney understood why, after all she was very protective of her father. Clearly Billy had helped Sam out with a lot.

She also understood why she was hesitant to tell her and Gale she was pregnant. After how they, how she, reacted to the news of her going to see Billy of course Sam didn’t want to tell them.

Walking inside she felt extremely awkward. The guard at the front desk was the same person from last time, Matthews, he seemed hesitant to look at her. She couldn’t blame him after their previous in counter.

“We’re here to see Billy” Sam told him “We both want to see him.”

Clearly when Sam told Matthews she’d be bring another person with her to see Billy, he’d been expecting Tara or Mindy. Maybe even Chad, but not her, not after how their last visit went.

”Sam…Billy became extremely…violent last time Mrs.Prescott was here. We had to sedate him just to get him back into his cell.” Matthews sighed “Even after he woke up he was still too violent to be around other prisoners. We had to sedate him again and move him to solitary confinement until he calmed down.”

”That won’t happen this time.” Sam told him while slamming her elbow into Sidney’s side “Right?”

Right” Sidney agreed, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear

“Okay…Room E4” Matthews sighed, still sounding unsure

Sam nodded and lead Sidney to where the contact visit rooms were. Like she didn’t know, she had been here before to antagonize Billy. The walk was a lot shorter than Sidney would’ve liked, she could feel her heart trying to escape her chest.

“Please…Be civil” Sam asked, then opened the door to step in

Sidney followed behind Sam, first she saw Billy and was shocked to see he looked, genuinely, happy. Then he saw her and he looked murderous, yanking at the cuffs on the table to try and free himself.

”It’s okay!” Sam yelped “Please stop!”

Billy looked up at Sam then back and Sidney, then Sam again, finally he sighed and relaxed again. Setting his now slightly bruised wrists down on the table while scowling at her.

”What is she doing here?” Billy hissed

“She asked to come” Sam sighed, while shrugging her shoulders

Billy scowled behind the two of them, angry at Sam for bringing her and angry at Sidney because…well it was Sidney.

”Hey Sam, could you-“ Sidney began, but Sam cut her off, seemingly knowing what she was going to say

”Yep.” Sam told her, getting up and exiting the room, waiting right next to the door incase something happened

Sidney and Billy stared at one another for a moment, both of them sure the other was about to kill them. When that didn’t happen however, Sidney seemed to fine her voice and forced herself to look Billy in the eyes.

”Look, I don’t like you, never have never will” Sidney told him

“I doubt that, you did date me for a while but go on” Billy told her, his tone nothing but harsh

She forced herself to take a deep breath and calm down, she didn’t need a repeat of what happened last time she was here. Besides she promised Sam that she could try to be civil and not kill him.

“We have something in common though.” Sidney continued, having to bite her tongue to stop herself from laughing at Billy’s surprised and confused expression “We both care for that girl. Sam is different, I don’t know why but she is.”

Billy grunted, his say of acknowledging she as right without actually saying the words. God, maybe she did know him better than she thought she did.

“Did she tell you?” Billy asked, playing with a loose thread of his jumpsuit

”That she’s pregnant? Yeah, she did.” Sidney sighed “She seems excited now, and that’s a good thing but…”

”You’re worried about other copycats coming after her and friends again. Also her baby now as well” Billy finished, sighing a little “You aren’t the only one with that fear.”

Sidney nodded and neither said anything more, it was weird, neither of them expected to be able to sit in a room together and not try and strangle each other.

“I can’t forgive you” Sidney suddenly piped up “But I’d like to try and accept it.”

”Good luck. Lots of fucked up bullshit and motives going on in this head” Billy joked

At least, Sidney hoped it was a joke…

”So, for the sake of Sam, Truce?” Sidney asked, extending her hand out to Billy’s handcuffed ones

”Truce” Billy sighed, stretching his hand out as far as it could go so he could shake her hand

“Now should be call Sam back in here before she thinks we killed each other?” Sidney asked, a playful smile on her face

A mischievous smile crossed his however “I’ve got a better idea”

Sidney raised an eyebrow, unsure of what Billy was planning to do. She didn’t know if she wanted to know what his idea of a ‘better idea’ was. She certainly wasn’t ready for Billy to start screaming bloody murder however.

Oh God, Sam!” Billy yelled, his tone sounding far too real for comfort “Sam help! Oh god! The blood!

Sidney had to clench her jaw shut as Billy screamed, the look on Sam’s face when she entered the room was just the cherry on top of the cake. The horrified and concerned look on her face was replaced with a dead inside and fed up one.

”I hate you both” Sam deadpanned, then walked out of the room again with her hands thrown up in the air

”No! You love us!” Billy yelled back just before the door closed

Sam didn’t come back but Sidney and Billy did stay in that room together for a little longer. Which lead to something neither person ever thought would happen between them again.

They laughed together
