“Momma! Daddy!” Billie cried

Sam and Danny turned around to see their five year old daughter running into the kitchen with tears in her eyes. She was clutching her pigtails and sniffling as well, Tara stomped in after her, an angry look on her face.

“What’s going on?” Sam asked, worried that Billie got into something she shouldn’t of

“Billie. Do you want to tell Momma and Daddy what you told me?” Tara asked, the question was more rhetorical than a actual question

“A-Aunt Tara was asking how school was going and-“ Billie cut herself off with a sniffle

“It’s okay, you aren’t in trouble. Tell them what you told me” Tara reassured her, her tone much softer now

“Billie, sweetie, what happened?” Danny asked

“Some kids in my class are bullying me because I have the same name was grandpa and great-grandma.” They said I was going to grow up to be a bad person like them.” Billie mumbled

Sam felt her fists clench at her daughter’s words, and for the first time in a long time, she felt the urge to pick up a knife and teach those kids a lesson. The feeling went away as soon as it came on though. She couldn’t murder anyone, it wasn’t right, she had to handle this the correct away.

Sam was shocked to see that Danny looked rather angry as well and also looked like he wanted to kill someone. Maybe that sudden urge to kill someone was just her motherly protectiveness. With her however, you could never be too careful.

Moving out of the kitchen, and away from the knife block, she took Billie to the living room while Danny talked to Tara. She supposed he wanted to find out if Billie told Tara anything else.

“Billie when did this start happening?” Sam asked, bending down to her daughter’s height

Billie shrugged her shoulders and played with her pigtails some more. Sam sighed picking her daughter up, which wasn’t as easy as it used to be, and twirled her around. Billie let out a string of startled, but delighted laughter. She blew a raspberry against her daughter’s stomach, making her laugh harder, before placing her down on the couch.

“Billie-bop, wanna tell me how long this has been going on for?” Sam asked again

“A few months I think” Billie mumbled

*Jesus Christ* Sam thought, her daughter was being bullied for months and she was only finding out now because she told Tara first

“Honey, you know you and always tell me and Daddy anything right? Good or bad?” Sam asked, worried about the answer she might receive

“I just didn’t want you to worry” Billie mumbled

Sam pulled Billie into a tight hug as Danny and Tara walked into the living room. Danny joined in on the hug while Tara sat down on the couch. Pulling away, Billie ran to the couch and sat next to Tara, giving her a big hug next, feeling bad that she wasn’t in the first hug.

“I’m going to call her school, Tara said the names of the kids were Ryan Benson and Cilia Ryder.”

Sam nodded “I’m gonna give the prison a call and see if we can talk to Billy. I think she’d appreciate hearing his voice.”

Danny nodded and walked off to find his phone, Sam pulled her’s out and dialed the Woodsboro Prison number. She was thankful when she heard Matthews, Max’s voice on the other end.

“Woodsboro Prison, how may I help you today?” He sighed, he sounded like he was having a rough day

“Max, I need to talk to Billy, something happened and Billie isn’t having a good time right now” Sam sighed, trying to explain the situation as quick as possible

“I got you! Give me five minutes” Max told her

“Thanks” Sam told him

Sam walked off and went into the hallway while she waited for the call to connect. Her anger boiling the more she thought about her daughter being bullied.

“Sam?” Billy asked, finally being connected to him

“Hey” Sam greeted, her voice not friendly at all “Billie is being bullied at school. Apparently the other kids are mocking her for her name and are saying that she is going to end up like you and Nancy.”

There was silence from the other end of the phone and for a moment she thought the phone disconnected. Then Billy started talking again, giving a very Billy Loomis-Like answer.

“You got a knife with ya?”

“I’m not going to kill them Billy, Jesus!” Sam yelped

“I’m sure no one would miss them!”

“Billy!” Sam yelled, hoping none of her neighbors could hear her

“Okay Okay, sorry” Billy told her, though he didn’t sound very sorry “Did you call her school?”

“Danny is doing it right now. We just found out, I think Tara sensed something was up and grilled her about it” Sam explained “I can’t believe I didn’t see it.”

“Sam, it’s your daughter, my granddaughter, you really thought it would be easy to tell when something was happening in her life?” Billy asked

“Fair” Sam sighed “Wanna talk to the little hellion?”

“You know I do” Billy chuckled

Sam smiled and walked back into her apartment, Danny, Tara, and Billie were all still sitting on the couch together.

“Hey Billie, wanna talk to grandpa for a little bit?” Sam asked

Billie’s brown eyes lit up and she nodded her head up and down very quickly. Sam was amazed that she didn’t give herself whiplash in the process. Sam handed the phone over and Billie’s poor mood instantly went away, a goofy smile on her face instead.

Sam sat back on the couch and leaned over towards Danny so she could whisper in his ear.

“What did the school say?” Sam asked

“That they’d look into to” Danny sighed “Whether they actually do or they just said that to shut us up is an entirely different matter.”

“If they think they can shut us up that easily they have another thing coming” Sam told him

Danny nodded and looked over to Billie how was still holding the phone to her ear and taking happily. He smiled at her and Sam, knowing who they’re daughter was talking to. Billy was always good at making his granddaughter feel better.

(Danny’s personal theory was because Billy had such a shitty home life he tried to be the best for Sam and Billie, he’d never admit that of course.)

They didn’t do much for the rest of the day expect relax, the phone call with Billy definitely made her feel better. The four of them did watch movies for a little bit before inviting Chad and Mindy over to watch more movies.

(Mindy and Billie fake-gagging at Chad and Tara kissing was definitely the highlight of the evening)

Billie ended up falling asleep against Danny, which was definitely picture worthy. After he carried her to bed they rest of them chilled out for a little bit Becker heading to bed themselves.

A rough day in the beginning, but a pleasant one in the end.
