Chapter Text
It was a usual day at the restaurant for Kojiro and by usual it was basically the same everyday. With his husband off work and getting on his nerves! Though that’s how they were, some would say that arguing so much isn’t a healthy relationship but you can’t be in a relationship and not argue. For Joe and Cherry it helped make their relationship stronger. They get what they need to say out and don’t bring up the past, not wanting to go to sleep angry at each other.
Cherry gives a groan “You know it would be nice if we didn’t argue when I get off of work.” Joe leans over the bar counter “I could say the same babe! You could at least give me some attention when you come in.” Their faces close together, neither would admit it but they liked to stare at each other with how beautiful the other was. Giving a smirk, Joe kisses him on the lips. Embarrassed Cherry pulls away trying to cover his red face while his husband laughs “Finally got one from you Kaoru.” He winks
“You ignorant Gorilla!” Cherry growls before flicking him on the forehead “Ow! Seriously!” They continued to argue until the bell of the front door opened and quickly they went back to composed looks to not show that they were fighting to a potential customer.
“Hey dads, I’m home.” It was their eldest son Reki. Cherry raised his hand giving a slight wave “Hi Reki, you’re home late again. Can’t that skateboard of yours get you home faster after work?” He teases, Reiki rolls his eyes “Not all boards are like Carla dad. I’m hungry.”
“I can fix you something kiddo.”
“Nah, I’ll eat something from the fridge. Thanks anyway dad.” Reiki replies while walking upstairs to the living area above the restaurant. “Hm. That was weird. He always wants me to cook something after school and work.”
Cherry rests a finger to his chin thinking “True, plus the second time he’s gotten home later than usual.” Turning to Joe he asks “Don’t you think it’s a little strange?” The green haired man gives a shrug “Eh, so he’s gettin home a bit later, not much of a big deal.”
A few minutes go by before the restaurant door opens again, this time being Miya. “Miya, hey! How was school today?” Joe asks.
“Fine. I’m going upstairs.” He quickly replies, taking the steps Reki did before.
“Miya wait!” Cherry calls concern in his voice. Miya stops halfway up the stairs “Is there something going on at school?” Miya doesn’t respond, giving the chance for Cherry to continue “If something’s wrong you can tell us.” A few moments of silence pass, Miya opens his mouth “Everything’s fine mom!” He snaps continuing up the stairs. “Yeah, something’s very wrong.” Joe speaks up.
“No, really? What was your first guess you ape!”
This continued into more arguing for a while in the restaurant.

Upstairs Reki heard his brother coming as he ate leftover pizza. Along with hearing Miya snap at Cherry continuing with thuds of angry feet coming up the rest of the stairs. Watching Miya enter the living room. “Judging by that tone I’m guessing you're hiding something from our dads.” Miya gives a growl toward his older brother “Shut up! Like you know anything you slime!” Frustration in his voice.
Reiki gives a shrug knowing his brother and getting defensive when coming to his problems “Is it about Takashi?” At that moment Miya freezes clenching his fist breathing in deeply to not have tears fall in front of his idiotic brother. “No.” He continues to his room, closing the door. Reiki sighs “Wish he’d just talk to me about it, but I’m no different..” he frowns picking up his phone looking at pictures of him and Langa but mostly were just Langa. He felt his heart pounding in his chest “I can’t confess to him… When it comes to love, Miya and I have that in common.”
In Miya’s room he held a cat squish mellow close with a tear-stained face “Stupid Takashi! Why’d I even like him in the first place?”
