Please leave kudos if you liked it 🩷 Let me know (comment) if you would like to read the prequel to this. It's about Rin's reaction to Isagi in the suit while they are still in their apartment, getting ready for the party.

Chapter Text

It was a glamorous evening at the Blue Lock Academy. The occasion was a grand party more like a reunion for the blue lock players and other veterans who took part in the project, and everyone was dressed to impress. Bachira, Kurona, Barou, Nagi, Michael, Aiku, and many others from the academy were all in attendance. However, as the night went on, it became apparent that everyone had their eyes on one person - everyone's favourite striker, Isagi Yoichi.

Isagi had arrived at the party in a sharp, well-tailored suit that perfectly accentuated his lean figure, particularly his incredible waist which everyone swoon over. As soon as he walked in, he caught the attention of everyone in the room. All of his teammates from the Blue Lock team were entranced by his charm and good looks, but they were all too shy to make a move yet.

Aryu commented about how stylish Isagi looked to Tokimitsu who agreed with an eager nod. When Isagi heard it, he shyly thanked and complimented their looks as well.

Despite all the attention he was getting, Isagi remained oblivious to it. He was too busy enjoying the party and the company of his friends. It wasn't until Rin showed up that Isagi's focus shifted. Rin was also dressed to impress in a stunning suit that hugged his body in all the right places. Isagi couldn't help but be drawn to him.

As expected, Bachira was the first to approach Isagi. Bachira had been watching Isagi from across the room, feeling a little blush take over his cheeks everytime Isagi caught him staring. He had to admit, though, that he looked absolutely stunning in his suit.

As the night wore on, Bachira found himself draping his arms around Isagi by the dessert table. After greeting each other, both of them grabbed a slice of cake.

"That cake looks amazing," Isagi said, taking a bite and savoring the rich chocolate flavor.

Bachira nodded, feeling a little nervous. "Yeah, it's really good. Um, Isagi, can I ask you something?" he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Isagi turned to him, sensing a hint of hesitation in his tone. "Sure, what's up?" he said, smiling.

Bachira took a deep breath, feeling his heart race. "I know this might sound weird, but I think you're really attractive. And I was wondering if maybe, sometime, we could go out on a date or something?" He said, his voice shaking a little.

Isagi blinked, feeling a little surprised. He had never really thought about Bachira in that way, but he couldn't deny that he was cute and sweet. "Bachira, I'm flattered, but I don't think of you like that. I hope you understand," he said gently.

Bachira's face fell, feeling a little rejected. "Oh, I understand. I'm sorry for being so forward," he said, feeling a little embarrassed.

Isagi shook his head, not wanting him to feel bad. "Don't be sorry, Bachira. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there like that. You're an amazing person, and I'm lucky to have you as a friend," he said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

Bachira smiled a little, feeling a little better. "Thanks, Isagi. You're always so kind," he said, feeling a little more at ease.

Isagi smiled back, feeling relieved that he hadn't hurt her feelings too badly. "Hey, let's go dance," he said, grabbing Bachira's hand and leading him to the dance floor.

Bachira couldn't help but feel a little happy - even if Isagi didn't feel the same way, he was still glad to be close to him, if only for a little while.

Like other players form blue lock, Nagi had been keeping an eye on Isagi all night, feeling a little jealous of all the attention he was getting from the other guests. He had to admit, though, that Isagi looked good in his suit - maybe even a little too good. He begged to be ravished in that suit.

Nagi made his move on Isagi when he found him alone on the dance floor. Looks like Bachira left him to get something, and Nagi is beyond happy about it.

"You look like you're having a good time," Nagi said, trying to sound casual.

Isagi turned to him, smiling. "Yeah, I am. This is a great party," he said, his eyes sparkling. "Didn't expect Ego to pull it off honestly," he continued.

Nagi couldn't help but feel a little envious. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. You certainly seem to be popular tonight," he said, trying to hide his frustration.

Isagi laughed, not realizing that Nagi was feeling left out. "Well, I guess I have a certain charm," he joked.

Nagi rolled his eyes, feeling a little annoyed. "Yeah, I guess you do," he muttered.

Isagi frowned, sensing that something was off. "Hey, Nagi, is everything okay?" he asked, putting a hand on his shoulder.

Nagi sighed, embarrassed about his odd behaviour. "It's nothing, really. I'm just a little jealous, I guess. I wish I could be the one making you laugh and flirting with you," he admitted, looking down at his shoes.

Isagi was taken aback, feeling a little surprised. "Nagi, I had no idea you felt that way. I appreciate your honesty, but you know I think of us as a good friend only, right?" he said gently.

Nagi nodded, feeling a little dejected. "Yeah, I know. It's just hard sometimes, seeing you with other people," he said, his voice low.

Isagi sighed, feeling a little conflicted. He cared about Nagi as a friend, but he didn't want to lead him on or hurt his feelings. "Look, Nagi, I don't want to hurt you, but I can't force myself to feel something that isn't there. You're an amazing friend, and I don't want to lose that," he said, hoping Nagi would understand.

Nagi nodded, looking at Isagi with a small smile. "I know, Isagi. I'm sorry for being so needy," he said, feeling a little embarrassed.

Isagi smiled back, feeling relieved that they had worked things out. "Don't be sorry, Nagi. We all have our moments." he said, flashing a smile.

Kind as always, Nagi thought.

Nagi couldn't help but feel a little happy - at least for now, he had Isagi's attention all to himself.

It did not take long for Isagi to be caught by the bull.

Barou had been eyeing Isagi since the party started, watching him as he moved through the crowd, talking and laughing with the other guests. He couldn't deny that he found Isagi attractive - the way he carried himself with confidence, the way his suit hugged his body just right.

Barou found himself approaching Isagi at the bar, both of them sipping on glasses of champagne.

"You look good in that suit," Barou said, smirking a little.

Isagi turned to him, a little surprised. "Thanks, Barou. You don't look too bad yourself," he replied, gesturing to the black tuxedo that Barou was wearing.

Barou grinned, feeling a little emboldened by the champagne. "So, Isagi, I have to ask - are you single?"

Isagi chuckled, not quite catching on to Barou's advances. "Yeah, I am. Why do you ask?"

Barou leaned in a little closer, his eyes sparkling. "Well, let's just say, every queen needs a king and that I wouldn't mind getting to know you a little better," he said, his voice low and suggestive.

Isagi raised an eyebrow, feeling a little uncomfortable. "I appreciate the offer, Barou, but I'm not really looking for anything right now," he said, trying to let him down easy.

Barou shrugged, not seeming too discouraged. "Well, if you ever change your mind, you know where to find me," he said, winking at Isagi before turning to grab another drink.

Isagi wondered how Barou's vocabulary has become so pleasant - that guy didn't utter the word peasant or donkey, like how he usually does.

Isagi watched him go, feeling a little relieved that he had dodged that particular bullet. He couldn't deny that Barou was attractive, but there was something about him that made Isagi a little wary. For now, he was content to enjoy the party and the company of his friends - particularly Rin, who was currently making his way back over to him.

As the party was winding down, Bachira found himself sitting at a table with Kurona, both of them sipping on glasses of champagne.

"So, what do you think of Isagi?" Kurona asked, a sly smile on his face.

Bachira blushed a little, feeling a little embarrassed. "What do you mean?" he asked, trying to act casual.

Kurona laughed, sensing Bachira's shyness. "Come on, Bachira, don't be shy. I've seen the way you've been looking at him all night," he teased.

Bachira couldn't help but laugh a little, feeling a little more at ease. "Okay, fine. I think he's amazing. He's such a great soccer player, and he looks really handsome in that suit," he admitted, feeling a little bashful.

"I asked him out earlier, but he turned me down. He wasn't even being rude! He was so kind when he did it, it hurt less. Such a Isagi thing to do." He stopped himself there before he could rant and bore Kurona.

Kurona grinned, feeling a little mischievous. "Well, you're not the only one. I saw Barou and Nagi flirting with him earlier," he said, taking a sip of his champagne.

Bachira's heart sank a little, feeling a little jealous. "Really? I didn't notice," he replied, trying to hide his clear disappointment.

Kurona chuckled, sensing Bachira's insecurity. "Don't worry, Bachira. I think Isagi's only got eyes for one person tonight," he said, nodding towards the dance floor where Isagi was dancing with Rin.

Bachira couldn't help but smile, feeling a little relieved. "You're right. Rin and Isagi look really good together," he said, feeling a little happy for them.

Kurona nodded in agreement. "Yeah, they do. I think they've got something special between them," he said, feeling a little wistful.

Bachira looked at Kurona, sensing his sadness. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked, little concerned.

Kurona nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just...I don't know. I wish I could find someone like Isagi, you know? Someone who's kind and brave and talented," he confessed, showing his vulnerability, looking down at the table.

Bachira took Kurona's hand, trying to console his friend. "You will, Kurona. You're amazing, and you deserve someone who sees that in you," he said, smiling.

Kurona smiled back. "Thanks, Bachira. You're a great friend," he said, feeling a little more hopeful.

Barou came behind them and slapped their back. "You peasants, stop your conversation about Isagi and Itoshi junior. They don't have anything special going on."

"If anything, Isagi will soon come into realisation that he needs a king like me to take care of him." He stated, crossing his arms. Kurona rolled his eyes and shook his head at Barou's stupidity.

"You are too confident for your own good, Barou." Bachira retorted, although he knows Barou doesn't give a damn about whatever he was saying.

Michael Kaiser, being a man-whore, he jumped in front of Isagi and greeted him by grabbing his chin making Isagi look at him. "I came here to meet you, Yoichi." He teasingly winked at the shorter one.

Isagi awkwardly laughed and pushed his hands away. "Behave for once, Kaiser." He knows the lows and lows of being Kaiser's teammate. The constant teasing, one-sided banter, and the wild competition.

Kaiser whistled and said, "You look sexy in that suit, Yoichi," eyes glancing at a frustrated Rin, who looks ready to throw a punch. "Keep it up." He said before moving to other guests.

"One of these days I will surely kill that bastered." Rin muttered under his breath.

All of his former teammates made their attempts to get close to Isagi, trying to make small talk or tell him a joke to get a laugh out of him. Aiku, on the other hand, was content to watch from afar, admiring Isagi from a distance.

It was about time Rin made sure to show everyone who Isagi belonged to.

Rin pulled Isagi by his waist keeping him closer to him and whispered, "Too many people are hitting on you, don't you think, Isagi?" A visible blush crept on Isagi's cheeks. Isagi was a little embarrassed to reply anything.

Their faces were too close, almost the lips were begging to be touched by eachother. Rin could feel the glares and stares thrown at his direction. He would be lying if he said he wasn't enjoying those jealous looks.

These lukewarm players needs to know their place, he thought.

Rin ran his fingers through Isagi's soft hair which was pushed back for the party. It wasn't usual for him to style his hair like that but Rin can't deny how hot Isagi looks with his hair pushed back.

Isagi found himself drawn to Rin more and more. He was smart, funny in his own way, and beautiful, and he couldn't help but be captivated by him. They danced together, talked, and laughed, enjoying each other's company.

At one point, Isagi and Rin found themselves standing outside on the balcony, looking out at the city lights below. Isagi leaned against the railing, feeling the cool night air on his skin.

"It's a beautiful night, isn't it?" Rin said, standing next to him.

"It sure is," Isagi replied, turning to look at him. "It is even more beautiful now that I have someone to share it with."

Rin smiled, feeling his heart flutter in his chest. "Well, lucky for you, because I would say the same," he said, moving a little closer to him.

Isagi smiled back, feeling a rush of excitement. "I didn't say this earlier, you look absolutely stunning tonight," he said, admiring Rin in his teal-blue suit.

Rin blushed, feeling a little shy. "Thank you. You look beautiful," he replied, basking in Isagi's figure.

They stood there for a moment, their eyes locked, the tension between them almost palpable. Then, without thinking, Isagi leaned in and pressed his lips to Rin's. He responded eagerly, his arms wrapping around his neck as they kissed.

It was a magical moment, the world around them fading away as they lost themselves in each other. And as they pulled away, their lips still tingling with the sensation of each other's touch, they both knew how special they were to eachother.

"Rin, I have a request,"

"What is it, babe?" Rin asked. Isagi internally squealed at being called babe.

"I know we haven't been dating long enough and that is why we chose to come to the party alone," he started, playing with his fingers nervously. "Here on, I want us to go to parties are each other's dates. I want to stand by you at all times. And that one last behind the bar wouldn't stop eye-fucking you." Isagi groaned.

Rin chuckled and kissed Isagi's cheek. "You just had to see that one last. I had to watch all of those lukewarms fuck you with their sinister eyes and hear them flirt with you all night."

"Just so you know, my eyes were on you all night." Isagi said, straightening Rin's tie which was out of place a few seconds back. Rin hummed in response and pulled Isagi in for a warm hug.

In the end, Isagi and Rin left the party together, leaving behind a room full of broken hearts. But the Blue Lock team knew that their Isagi was happy, and that was all that mattered. As they said their goodbyes and went their separate ways, Bachira couldn't help but feel a little envious of Rin. He had captured Isagi's heart, while he and the others were left with nothing but their unrequited love.
