… The heavy patter of the rain had woken her up. It was a lot softer when she and Shadow went to bed.
Blinking the sleep from her eyes, she turned to the window. Yeah, it’s pouring out. No use in making plans today. That being said… She could really use a morning snack right about now. The package of creme-filled cookies they got the other day was hemorrhaging awful fast, and she didn’t wanna be left in the dust for once.
She gently brushed her quills from her face, and lifted the arm of her lover from her chest. As she moved to leave the bed, however…
“Mnnnnnh…”
She’s pulled back into bed. Shadow, barely awake, wrapped both arms around Sonic’s waist and brings her closer.
“Nnnot yet.”
A chuckle escapes her lips. “C’mon, babe. I’m hungry.” She attempts to lightly wriggle from their grasp, but that only tightens it further.
“Not yett.” A bit firmer than last time, her eyes still shut. Her morning breath kinda stunk, but… It was hard not to get lost in her features so up close.
Pert lips settled within a deep, sandy muzzle. Smoke black fur with scarlet streaks. A little bit of chest fluff escaping their oversized t-shirt. It was hard to say no to someone so hard to look away from
“... Okay.” Sonic settled in place, her lover parallel to her humming in content. He pulled her closer, and planted a sleepy kiss between her eyes. Another hushed giggle croaked out. She mirrored Shadow’s gesture, holding them close as well, and returned the kiss. “Love you, babe.”
