Summary
Shadow has decided to participate in the New Year’s Resolution tradition. Recalling the many times Rouge has picked on him about “avoiding certain things, certain situations. Almost like you’re afraid of them.”, Shadow has decided that this year, he will be Fearless. He will confront those things and situations head-on, and make a genuine effort on them.
Six times Shadow thrusts himself into uncomfortable situations, with Sonic at his side. 5 times as friends, and one time where he confesses his feelings.
There will be a total of seven chapters.

Summary
Shadow comes across Sonic carrying a small bundle of cloth. Initially attempting to start their usual sparring fight, Shadow realizes too late that Sonic is not in the mood today. And it has something to do with what is wrapped in the bundle Sonic is carrying.
In the end, Shadow helps a grieving Sonic bury a lost loved one in the forest.

“Hello?” A deep and gravelly voice shocked him out of his thoughts, causing him almost to drop his phone in surprise.
“Shadow!” Sonic exclaimed, relieved that the other hedgehog had picked up.“...” There was silence on the other end of the line for a moment before the other asked: “...Sonic? Is that you? What are you doing calling me at, ugh, 5am??” Sonic picked up on shuffling noises and assumed Shadow had gotten out of bed. “Actually- why are you calling me at all, we haven’t spoken outside of anniversaries in uh, fuck, how long’s been, like, ten years? …I didn’t forget anything…right?”
Sonic rushed to reassure him after hearing the uncertainty in the other’s voice, that was a sore subject for both of them; “No! No, you didn’t forget anything, it’s uhh,” and here’s where Sonic hesitated, he wasn’t exactly sure on how to explain the situation to Shadow. “It’s something else, I-” Sonic felt his eyes start to wander over to what—or rather who—was the catalyst for his sudden frantic 5am call to his old rival.
“Spit it out faker,” Shadow said, sounding more awake now.
“I found Silver."
“...oh shit.”

Summary
Silver the Hedgehog has been fighting against the apocalypse for seven long years. Finally, he and the remaining mortals initiate Operation Argus to save as many lives as possible. Silver is the only one left behind to destroy everything that remains. But his success is short-lived when the darkness of the east—Mephiles—forces Silver to turn back time.
Back at eight years old before the apocalypse began, Silver endeavors to stop it from ever occurring in the first place. His first step is to kill Emperor Shadow of the Doom Empire, the one who unleashed Mephiles in the first place. Unfortunately, Silver isn't strong enough to kill Shadow, and he, in turn, can't kill Silver because he's... Shadow's blood?
It wasn't in Silver's plans to become an imperial prince, but he decides that he can use this. He'll stop the apocalypse, no matter what it takes.
