Chapter Text
Darlin' was standing in front of their shared closet, looking for something to wear to the pack meeting that night.
They skimmed over the various shirts, eyes drifting to Sam's side of the closet.
They had a mischievous glint in their eye as they drew their hand across the hangers, stopping on one of the flannels hanging there.
They took it off the hanger, gently sliding it on, surprised by how soft it was.
They shrugged, closing the closet door.
Out in the living room, Sam was sitting on the couch, already dressed when he heard them open the bedroom door.
"Hey Darlin', you ready-" He paused, eyes locking with theirs before catching onto the fabric they had draped over their shoulders.
His breath hitched as he smiled softly, showing a glint of fangs as he stood up.
They tilted their head with an innocent smile as they walked closer to him. "What's wrong? You're looking a little pale."
He chuckled dryly as they approached. "Well, no shit I'm pale, Darlin'. I'm a vampire." He joked, sliding his hands around their waist as they stopped in front of him.
"...You look good." He muttered, eyes drifting everywhere. Eyes, neck, lips, anywhere he could get a look at.
They smiled, semi-sheepishly. "Why, thank you." They leaned in a little bit, lips brushing his slightly. "Can I kiss you?" They asked quietly.
He nodded in consent, tilting his head to connect their lips together for a short kiss.
They smiled against his lips, pulling back for a moment. "Yknow, you have really comfortable clothes." They said with a smirk.
He rolled his eyes. "Yeah, that's why I wear 'em." He teased, giving a quick peck on their lips.
They shrugged. "I might have to wear these more often, then." They pulled back, walking away to grab their phone from the kitchen counter.
He scoffed quietly. "You do that and I might not be able to control myself, Darlin'."
They paused, phone in hand as a blush began to spread on their face and to their ears. "I- What?" They questioned, not sure if they heard him correctly.
He smiled, noticing the redness on their face. "Ever heard of the saying, 'Wear the hat, Ride the cowboy'?"
They gave him a suspicious look with a small nod. "...Yes. I have."
He gave a small smirk before shrugging. "Well, I'm sure we can make a small exception to the 'Hat' part of that saying."
They sputtered a little, face somehow reddening even more than before as he smiled at them. "...Oh, my god, you're dead serious right now-"
He laughed a little before walking to the door. "Cmon. Wouldn't want to be late, would we?" He opened the door, gesturing out of it.
They stared at him. "Wait- But what about-" They started, incoherently motioning with their hands as they walked closer to him and the door.
"We can continue that conversation later, Darlin'." He teased, enjoying the way they pouted slightly as they both walked out the door.
They reached out to hold his hand after he locked the door, smiling when he obliged, weaving their fingers together.
"You suck for that, you know." They joked, keeping pace with him as they walked to the car.
"Oh, I know." He opened their car door for them. "But I won't be the only one sucking later." He said with a grin.
They gawked at him as they sat down in the car.
He laughed at their expression, closing their door and making his way to the driver's side.
