Chapter 1: I don't want to get married

Chapter Text

Hey Sanji!" Ichiji called, as he entered the half-assed living room. The stone walls clearly making the room seem more like a prison cell with a table and a few sofas.
"He's not here, He's probably down in the basement makeing shitty ratfood." Niji replied. Ichiji laughed,
"You're right! We should go tell him how pathetic his shitty food is!" Yonji said. All three of the brothers were laughing maliciously while Reiju sat silently in the corner sofa. In the midst of their laughter, Sanji entered the room. "Hey Sanji! We were just talking about your garbage food!" Niji said casually. "..." Sanji didn't say anything in response, but in stead pulled out a chair to sit on.
"What? You mute now Sanji?" Niji scoffes as he leaned over Sanji to look down on him. Sanji doesn't back down, but he instead tilts his head up to look down onto Niji in response. They continue to star down eachother for a few seconds before they get interrupted by Ichiji.

"Oh, I forgot, Judge wants to talk to you Sanji."
Sanji paused for a second, seemingly thinking about something, before promptly kicking Niji in the stomach. "Gah-!" Niji gasped and reflexively grabbed his stomach. Sanji swiftly moved around Niji to and maid his way out the entrance. "Sanji!" He could hear Niji shouting his name angrily, but decided to ignore him.

As he went down the hallway up to Judges room, he thought to himself. What the hell could that piece of shit want from him? He had never asked for Sanji specifically before. Sanji stared into the hallways stone walls, The Germa castle wasn't exactly pretty, but you got used to the boring architecture. He finally arrived at Judges rooms looming doors. They were made out of wood and seemed was way to tall for any normal door, they looked more a like the castles entrance. Sanji paused before knocking...was he...anxious? Well he had never been called like this before. He clenched his fist and steeled himself. Its probably no big deal, and even if he got kicked out, it wasn't like he enjoyed being in Germa at all. He tapped his foot in the ground to calm his nerves before reluctantly knocking on the big wooden doors. 20 seconds passed, yet nobody opened. His anxiousness slowly overran with annoyance.
Run out of patience, he kicked the door open with a swing.

Judge sat on a stone chair by his desk, papers in hand. He looked up, seemingly annoyed at Sanji. "Sanji, Can't you wait instead of destroying my door?"Judge asked. He didn't wait for Sanjis answer before continuing,
"You're getting married next week." He said cold heartedly.
Sanjis stomach dropped.
Maybe he should been worried.

"I'm not getting married." Sanji said, dumbfounded. "Theres no debate about it. Your marriage will be the symbol of alliance between the Big mom pirates and Germa 66." Judge explained as he put down the papers in his hand. "Looked, here's your marriage contract." He placed a finger at the documents he had put down on his desk as let slip a smile. Sanji clenched his teeth as veins pooped out off his forehead. "I'm not getting married!" He screamed at his father as he stomped the ground hard enough to crack the stone floor. "Sanji!" His father slammed his fist into his desk. "This isn't your choice. The wedding will be in next week."
"HEY! I DONT CARE! IM NOT GETTING MARRIED YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" Sanji screamed at Judge as he lunged at him. The bodyguards swiftly moving as meatshields in front of Sanjis attack. "You want to fight me?! Haha! Don't be ridiculous, you're the weakest of all of Germa Sanjj!" Judge scoffed as he drew his sword. Sanji quickly kicked down the guards and pulled out his raid suit. He knew his father was way stronger then him, but he couldn't just accept this! He clenched his fists. He had to hold on to all the freedom he could get!

Sanji woke up in his bed with a bad headache. "Shiitt..." Sanji groaned. He had gotten his ass beat. Even when it seemed like he would have gotten in a good hit or two, those damn guards jumped in front to block his kicks and punches.
Now when he thought about it, those guards jumped in without any hesitation at all.
He supposed they really weren't human. He stared up at the stone patterned ceiling. He was getting way to tired of seeing it everywhere. The morning sunlight that shined in from his small window told him it was morning. Was he knocked out all night?

Luckily for him, the damage Judge had done to his face was miniscule. Probably because of his upcoming wedding. Sanji covered his eyes with his hands. "Wedding..." he whispered. He suddenly punched into his bed sheets. "Goddamn it!" Sanji screamed out of frustration. As he felt tears well up, but he quickly dug his nails into his arm to stop himself from crying. He had to accept this... He was a Vinsmoke. This wedding was his punishment for him being so weak. If he had been stronger Judge wouldn't have married him off...right?
His nails dug deeper into his skin before he let go off his arm. Sanji sighed as he stared into the roof. That stone pattern really was tiring. Sanji reached up his hand to look at it when he noticed something around his wrists. A gold bracelet? No, it was way too tight and thin for it to be. He tuckered at it trying to get it off his hand, with little to no success.

After a few minutes Sanji slowly and carefully made his way out of his bed. Somehow he was wearing a new pair of clothes, maybe the guards changed him...or maybe it was one of the cute maids? Sanji fawned at the thought.
He spyed out his door before sneaking out of his room. He didn't want any of his brothers to see him all beat up like this, they would get so annoying whenever he showed weakness.
He snuck past the first few doors in the hallway and up the stairs to the 3rd backdoor entrance of the germa castle. There, he turned right into a small garden. The grass shined brightly in the sunlight, the greenery was a nice change of pace from the normal stone walls, Sanji thought. Bushes filled with flowers were placed at seemingly random in the small garden. It was a lot less organised now that their mother Sora had died. Sanji would often try to spare some time to go water the wild plantlife, but he never had time to trim the bushes or remove the weeds. In the center of the garden laid the stone gravestone of Sora.

Today that become Sanjis destination again. He sat down next to the grave, Rolling his thumbs for a bit before sheepisly talking to the Stone. "Hey mom..." He started, he didn't quite know what to say. "Well, The dish I've been working on is actually starting to taste really good! When I lowered the amount of salt and instead used some apples skin it tasted a lot better..."
"..."
"Now that I think about it, I've really become a better chef then when I was younger huh?" Sanji awkwardly talked to the stone. "But...you always ate it and told me it was the best ever, you didn't have to lie like that yknow." He continued, abit unsure. "But, I'm glad you did Mom." He said with a soft smile developing on his face.

"...I just wanted to say that I'm getting married soon."
"..."
"Well I didn't really want to get married but I didn't really have a choice, haha."
"..."
"..."

Sanji went quiet and laid down in the grass. God this was weird, and lame. He thought to himself. He was sitting here talking to a rock that he knew couldn't respond. Yet he kept finding himself sitting here speaking to the grave like this. How pathetic.

"Sanji?" He heard a familiar voice call as he sprung up onto his feet. Reiju tapped him on the back as she smiled at him. "Ah, Reiju?!" Sanji looked surprised back at her. "Visiting Mom?" She asked as she pointed at the gravestone. "Uh...yeah...I was just-..." Sanji mumbled. "I just wanted to tell her I was getting married." He reaffirms. Reiju stared shocked at him. "Your getting married?!" She asked completely flabbergasted.
"You didn't know? Apparently the ceremony is next week." Sanji told her as he looked down onto the grass. "Why would Judge agree to marry off one of his sons?" She gave him a confused look. "Well, my marriage will be a sort of alliance between The Big Moms yonko crew and Germa 66...It will surely give lots of opportunities for both parties involved." Sanji explained apatheticly. "Oh...Well are you okay with it?" She asked. Sanji looked at her stumped for a second.
"Don't be dumb, ofcourse I don't want to get married, but I'm not strong enough to even go against Judge! How could I possibly stop a Yonko?!" Sanji shouted angrily. He gritted his teeth before quickly throwing his glance at the ground. "Sorry, I'm still a bit tired from my meeting with Judge yesterday...I'm going to my room again." Sanji said with a low tone as he pushed Reiju to the side before escaping the garden.

If they he was going to marry one of Big Mom's children then they were most likely heading for Whole cake island. He wondered how far away they were from the island, but he didn't feel like asking any of his family members about it. Sanji picked up his raid suit from the top of his drawer, might aswell go get some training done until its time for dinner. Dinner was a meal that the Vinsmokes never got to skip, it was the time where the supposed family talked about their training and future missions. No matter how much Sanji hated the silent ominous mealtime he had to attend. Luckily he just got ignored for most of the time. Just as he was about to exit his room to go to the training grounds he heard a knock at his door. He opened the door expecting to be meet with either one of his brothers or an annoying guard, but instead he was met with an angel themselves.
"Uh? Mr Sanji? I've come to inform you that we will be arriving at Whole cake island tomorrow. Please prepare appropriate clothing to meet your future wife." The maid told him. "Yeees! Ofcourse Miss!!!~ I'll do anything for you!" Sanji exclaimed as he jumped around happily not noticing that the maid had left.

He calmed himself down and thought...His future wife was a daughter of Big Mom right? He couldn't imagine her looking good in a million years. No, his body outright rejected the idea of getting married to a girl that could even look slightly like Big mom!
Sanji leaned against his door. Shit.
"I don't want to get married."
