Work Text:
Tweek watched as the rain poured, standing just behind the doorframe of Tweak Bros. His shift had ended, and he was meant to go home but the rain was pouring hard, and he wasn’t sure he’d make it without completely drenching himself or catching a cold. His parents always left before he did, so he’d be obligated to clean up and close the shop when it was their closing time. Something Tweek hated but it was one of those things that you just have to deal with in life because frankly, there’s nothing you can do about it.
He reached his hand out, the rain pouring on his hand wetting his palm until it was completely soaked in a short period of time. Suddenly, someone stopped in front of the doorframe, the umbrella they had with them blocking the rain from hitting Tweeks hand any further. Tweek couldn’t help the weak feeling in his knees as his blue eyes encountered green ones.
“No umbrella?” Craig teased, smiling softly. Tweek smiled back, his naturally panicked face making it seem like a forced smile, but Craig knew better. “C’mon I’ll walk you.” He offered, moving slightly to the side, giving Tweek room to step out of the café but keeping the umbrella in its place. “Do you know how cliché this is?” He says after locking the door behind him, checking twice if it was locked before facing Craig once more. Craig didn’t answer, only grinned and opened his arm more, allowing Tweek to slip his hand in between them and hold onto Craigs arm tightly.
“Maybe you should’ve brought an umbrella.” Craig finally said, the two of them making their way to Tweeks house. “Maybe.” Tweek replied but he knew that if he had the chance to remind his past self to bring an umbrella, he wouldn’t take it. Not when he had an excuse to hold onto Craigs arm and stay as close as possible to him while walking at the same time.
Only when they reached his porch and the rain died down enough for them to bring down the umbrella did he notice the wet spot on Craigs shoulder. Tweek eyed it in surprise and was about to argue but his words died in his throat when he looked back into Craigs loving gaze. A look that only Craig could give him, a look that made his stomach flip, a look that washed away all his worries.
Oh, the things he would to for this boy.
