Nick was with Tara and Darcy in his kitchen. They were baking a cake for Charlie’s birthday.
“DO you think CHarlie will like this cake?” Nick asked.
“I’m sure he will love it. He likes your baking,” Tara said.
“He has been having so many good days lately I hope he has another one on his birthday,” Nick said.
“I got the vodka for the party,” Darcy said.
“Of course you did,” Tara said fondly.
Tara kissed Darcy on the lips and the two smiled at each other. Nick was used to their affection. He loved that they were a queer group of friends. Their kiss at Harry’s party gave him the courage to kiss Charlie at the same party. He knew he could not complain since he and CHarlie were also very affectionate.
“Come on let’s go get this cake ready for Charlie’s birthday tomorrow,” Nick said.
Nick, Tara, and Darcy measured and placed everything together to get the cake ready. Nick was pleased with how the cake turned out. Tomorrow when it was cool he would ice it before heading to CHarlie’s for the birthday party. It was nice to have all their friends together to celebrate CHarlie’s birthday.
Charlie wakes up and is having a good day. Its his birthday and hopefully things will go well for him today. He sees that he has texts from Nick and all of his friends.
“Happy birthday Char XOXO,” Nick’s text says.
CHarlie smiles and texts Nick back. Nick and he text for a few minutes. He is so happy that his birthday is on the weekend this year and he does not have to go to school. He can spend the day with his friends and that was how it was intended.
“Ill be over soon,” Nick texts.
Charlie smiles at the text and cannot wait to see Nick. He loves his boyfriend. He could not believe how lucky he was that he was dating someone who loved him as much as Nick loved him.
Charlie hears the doorbell ring and goes to answer it. He sees that it is Nick with some things in his arms.
“Are those for me?” Charlie asked with a wink.
“Only the best for you,” Nick said.
Nick lowers his head so that he can kiss Charlie. The kiss is simple and sweet and they relish the feeling of them just being with each other.
Nick goes to put the cake in the kitchen for later and places his gifts in the living room. Nick and Charlie go up to Charlies room to spend some time together.
“Happy birthday,” Nick said and cuddles Charlie as close as he can.
Nick and Charlie cuddle for a few minutes just enjoying spending their time together just the two of them in their own little bubble in the world.
“How are you feeling today?” Nick asked.
“It’s a good day today it feels good to have my birthday. I’m excited for the party and spending time with our friends and everything. I’m so happy that I’m having a good day on my birthday,” Charlie said.
Nick hugs CHarlie close and the two of them cuddle together on Charlie’s single bed. They spend the next few hours like that just talking about sweet nothing and enjoying their time together.
Nick and Charlie woke up to the sound of nocking on the door.
“Come in,” Charlie said.
Tori entered the room sipping her diet lemonade.
“Your friends are here,” Tori said.
Nick and Charlie got out of bed and walked downstairs hand in hand to open the door for their friends.
“Happy birthday Charlie,” Elle said as she came in and hugged Charlie.
“Happy birthday,” Tao said.
Isaac and Sahar entered and hugged Charlie. Tara and Darcy were behind them.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLIE,” Darcy yelled as she hugged Charlie. “I brought Vodka,” She stage whispered to the room.
Tara came in and hugged Charlie close to her.
With everyone being there now it was time for them to go to the living room and enjoy the day. Charlie’s parents were out of town and Tori was in charge of them. Oliver was a t a friend’s for a sleepover, so it was just them. Tori had Michael over so they were doing their own thing in her room.
“Let’s order some pizzas,” Nick said.
Nick took out his phone and ordered a few pizzas for all of them.
“The pizzas should be here in half an hour,” Nick said.
“Let’s play never have I ever,” Darcy said and took out her bottle of vodka and some cups.
“Never have I ever kissed a boy,” Darcy said.
Nick, Charlie, Tara, Sahar, and Elle all drank. They went around the table and drank when they did something. Darcy was winning the game and succeeding in getting everyone drunk.
The doorbell rang, and Nick went to get the pizzas. Nick was excited and slightly buzzed from the game. He paid for the pizzas and closed the door. He placed the pizzas on the table and let everyone take slices of pizza. Everyone dug in and ate. It was good to soak up the alcohol that they drank.
When the pizzas were polished off, Nick and Tara went to the kitchen to get the cake. They took out the cake and placed the candles inside of it. Tara lit the candles, and Nick carried the cake to the living room.
“Happy Birthday Charlie,” Everyone sang to Charlie.
Charlie cut up the cake and gave a slice to everyone. Everyone dug in, loving Nick’s baking.
“This is the best cake,” Sahar said.
“Tara and I helped,” Darcy said.
Next they decided to watch a film. They opened up Netflix and picked a movie that even Tao would be okay with.
Charlie cuddled up to Nick and placed his head on his chest. Nich happily placed his arms around Charlie and the two snuggled as they watched the film.
“I love that we got to spend the day together,” Charlie whispered.
“I’m so thankful we get to spend the day together too. I love spending time with you,” Nick said.
Charlie leaned forward and kissed Nick. he could taste the alcohol and the cake in Nick’s mouth. The kiss was sweet and loving. The two of them just focus on each other and enjoying their time just being them. It was nice spending time together just them with their friends. CHarlie thought he was so lucky to have friends like that who loved him and Nick who also loved him. Charlie never thought he’d have such supportive friends and a boyfriend who loved him more than anything.
“You deserve the world Charlie,” Nick said.
Nick placed his forehead against Charlie’s and the two stared into each other’s eyes.
The film continued playing and everyone was enjoying themselves. It was a nice day and everyone had fun.
When the film ended everyone got up to go home.
“Thanks Charlie this was fun,” Elle said and hugged Charlie close to her.
Everyone said their goodbyes and soon it was only Nick and Charlie left in the room. Nick and Charlie cleaned up and went upstairs to Charlie’s room.
Nick and Charlie cuddled up in CHarlie’s bed and just enjoyed spending time together being in the same room and just spending their time together.
“I love you,” Charlie said.
“I love you too Char,” Nick said.
The two kissed and Charlie placed his head on Nick’s chest and laid his head there they were happily laying there in their own world.
