It was a hot sunny day and Marjorine was coming back from the library. She carried her new book in her hands with a smile on her face. She did a small spin as she looked at all the flowers on the trees. She was in a good mood since her father bought her a new dress.
The dress was beautiful, it was a simple light blue, long dress with white lining. She was wearing a white cardigan over it with some docs and slightly long white socks with frills.
Her hair was in two low buns with two small blue bows. She has some light makeup and some pink lipstick.
She was having a wonderful day today and she thanked the gods for it.
"Marjorine?" A voice called out.
Marjorine looks up and sees a familiar blonde haired boy. It was Kenny, he was wearing a dirty white shirt, some shorts and some running shoes.
"Kenny!" Marjorine explained running up to the boy and hugging him.
"Oh! Hey there, happy are you?" Kenny giggles blush pulling over his face
Marjorine blushes and quickly let's go, "Heh, yeah sorry. Just having a really good day today."
"Don't apologize, I love your hugs" Kenny says blushing.
"So, what are you doing around here?" Kenny quickly changes the subject.
"I just came back from the library, just done the block over there, what about you?"
"Just on my break from doing some work in the Stevens ranch."
"Oh that's nice! Bebe and Wendy came by for some bread this morning before I left" Marjorine says happily about thinking of her friends.
" Hey, why don't you join me at the ranch?" Kenny suddenly asks.
"Are you sure?! I don't want to intrude!" Marjorine says.
"I guarantee you'll be fine plus you're a close friends with Bebe you're basically a princess over here" Kenny jokes.
Marjorine giggles, "Alrighty then"
The two blondes walk over to the ranch and go sit on a close bench.
"You've been here before right?" Kenny asks, tilting his head slightly.
"Yeah a couple of times."
"Wait, have you had anything to eat, it's your break!?" Marjorine asks suddenly.
" Ah, I guess I forgot." Kenny says, rubbing his neck nervously.
"Kenny dear, no you have to eat hold give me one second!" Marjorine exclaims as she goes through her bag.
Kenny blushes at the name and sits there with his hands folded nervously waiting.
"Here we go, a nice sandwich and some banana bread and lemon tarts. I know they're your favorite" Majorine smiles.
"I can't take this Marji, it's yours," Kenny says, pushing the stuff back.
"Nonsense! I already ate, plus you know I won't give up on it" Marjorine smiles sternly.
Kenny laughs, "Thank you buttercup"
"Buttercup?" Marjorine questions blushing a bit.
"Ah- yes like the flower but if you don't like it I won't call you that" Kenny says nervously.
"I love it!" Majority shouts,
"Sorry I mean I love it."She says a little more quietly and embarrassed.
"Oh okay cool"
"Yeah cool"
The two blondes sit there in silence as Kenny eats the food.
"Hey come here Marji, I want to show you something!" Kenny says .
Marjorine follows him to the stables and sees a beautiful black horse.
"This is Mystery, she's my favorite girl other than you of course" Kenny says, Majorine swears she can hear some flirtation in her voice and she smiles.
"She's beautiful Ken," Marjorine whispers in awe.
Kenny smiles down at her.
"You can go for a ride sometime if you want." Kenny suggests.
"Oh dear, I don't know, I've never ridden a horse, I've never even had a pet other than my bunny, plus I don't know if my daddy will let me, he might think I'll get hurt." Marjorine rants nervously.
"You have a bunny?" Kenny questions ignoring all the other stuff she said.
"Yeah, his name is Chaos, and he's all fluffy and white." Marjorine says excitedly.
Kenny smiles at her excited face, " Well I want to meet him some day and whenever you think you're ready you can come for a ride anytime."
"Thank you Ken"
Marjorine checks her pocket watch and realizes, "Damn I have to get home, I'm going to be late!"
"Alright I'll walk you" Kenny says, stretching his arms and beginning to walk.
"Oh you don't have to Ken, I'll be fine." Marjorine says.
"It's alright getting late, there's no way I'm letting you walk alone with creeps out here." Kenny huffs.
Marjorine giggles and makes her way to the exit of the ranch.
The pair starts waking and Majorine takes a breath and interlocks their hands. Kenny looks at their hands and at Marjorine and smiles and gives her hand a light squeeze. Marjorine can feel all her nerves go away.
As they get closer Kenny suddenly says, "You look beautiful today"
Kenny looks straight into her eyes, red tinting her cheeks.
"Thank you dear"
"Of course Buttercup"
They didn't even notice they were already in front of the bakery and they stood in front of each other hand in hand.
"Good night dear, thank you for today" Majorine says smiling at him
"Good night buttercup, I hope to see you as soon as possible," Kenny says, giving her hand a soft kiss.
Marjorine blushes and grabs his hand before he leaves. Majorine reaches up and gives his cheek a soft, warm kiss.
The two separate feelings of love and all bubbly inside.
