Life In A Lab

Summary:

Chuuya has just met the odd scientist named N, but he doesn't like him. If only he was nice.

Work Text:

Chuuya stared at the scientist in confusion. His parents had told him to go with the man, so he did without question. But he didn’t understand what the man was talking about with the other scientists. He knew they mentioned his ability a few times, calling it an unfamiliar name to him.

In his mind, it was his choice to call his ability what he wanted. However, he was small and nobody would listen to him when he told them that they were wrong about the name of his ability. Hugging himself, he stood off to the side as he watched the adults talk.

He stood there for a long time, until he was grabbed by the arm and dragged down a hallway. The new room they entered had a high ceiling, and a chair sat beside a counter that had all sorts of sharp objects on it. Upon seeing the needles, Chuuya tried to tug himself free from the grip. However, he was easily overpowered, and continued to be dragged along.

Once they reached the chair, Chuuya was picked up and placed on it. Wrists and shoulders being strapped down to avoid wiggling. He felt weak, and finally found the courage to speak up, even though he knew his parents would want him to behave.

“What’re you doing? I want to go home,” he whined, trying to be tough, and not scared of the needle that the scientist had picked up.

“I need to do blood work on you, and then we’ll be getting lunch. If you’re good, I might ask your parents to come visit you,” the scientist spoke calmly, but there was a glint in his eyes that told Chuuya he wasn’t nice.

Pouting, Chuuya whined, “But I want to go home, and have my stuffy.”

The man sighed, “Chuuya, if you cooperate with me, I will get your stuffy.”

“Blood work hurts though,” the whining continued, and he wasn’t going to cooperate.

Without warning, the needle was stabbed into his arm, and the child screamed. Kicking his feet and tearing up from the sudden pain. His vein wasn’t even pierced upon the needle being stabbed into his arm, and it was moved around inside him until it dug into the vein.

Several tubes of blood were extracted, and then the needle was removed. Nothing was put on the bleeding hole in his arm, and Chuuya stared at it while crying. It didn’t bleed much, but it still hurt him, and upset him severely.

“Now,” the scientist spoke, “you will listen to me, and obey what I say. Refer to me as Professor N, and if you listen, you may get a reward.”

Nodding, he sniffled, and wished he could wipe his own tears away. Pulling at the restraints a little, he got slapped on the hands. Crying out, he nervously looked up at N. The man was glaring down at him, and Chuuya was beyond upset, wishing his family hadn’t handed him to the scientist.

The restraints came off after some more blood work, which meant more needles and crying. Along with some strands of hair being yanked out, Chuuya had screamed when that was done, as it was a small clump. There was a bit of skin stuck to the ends of the hair, and the child was tearing up.

Once he was free, he blinked away tears, and put a hand over the slightly bleeding spot on his head. The other hand was used by N to drag the child out of the room and into a large lunch hall. It was crowded with scientists who all turned to look at the small child, who they knew was their experiment.

Chuuya had a bland meal slid in front of him, and he lowered his hand from his head slowly. Poking the meal with the given chopsticks, and then took a small bite. After swallowing the food, he stuck his tongue out in disgust.

“It tastes bad, I want something tasty,” he complained, until more was put in his mouth when he went to speak again.

“Eat your food, this is your lunch, and you will accept it,” N whispered, not wanting anyone else to know he was threatening the child.

They were planning to use him for experiments, and hopefully as a weapon to end the war. It was the reason that Chuuya’s parents had given him up, as they were sick of the war that had been raging for years already. So, the young boy was going to be put through hell for a so-called greater purpose.

It had been a few days, which were mostly spent with the scientists getting all the information they needed about Chuuya. Giving them a base for their experiments to see how he changes from them. Most of the plan was to fuse the child with a god and make him into the ultimate weapon on the battlefield. The only thing that no one could stop, to put Japan above the other countries militaries.

That was why they were finally doing an experiment on Chuuya, as they wanted to make a small army of dangerous ability users in case things went wrong. So, N dragged the exhausted kid out of bed, letting him stumble his way along. Then, pushed him into a tube. Another scientist controlled the mechanical arms that placed a breathing mask over his mouth.

It only made Chuuya react in an even more violent way, banging on the inner walls, and screaming at the top of his lungs. Hoping a scientist would feel bad and stop whatever N wanted to do to him. But, a gas came through the breathing mask, making him sleepy.

When a liquid came down over his head, he wanted to freak out, but didn’t have the strength to. Slumping over in the tube as a thick liquid poured over his body. There was going to be no calming Chuuya down once the experiments and tests for the day were over, and he would be woken.

They started making a habit out of putting Chuuya in the tube once a week, alongside the other tests, and attempts to create a singularity out of his ability. He was also taught how to control his ability better, and was able to figure out how to control how much pressure was applied to things by his gravity. However, even with those things happening, and the scientists growing pleased by the display, N still was disappointed. Being the lead scientist, he commenced stage two.

It was time to start attempting to make a clone, and figure out how to fuse a child with a god.
