Summary
Renowned physician Tighnari has never come across an ailment he wasn’t at least somewhat familiar with. That is, until he meets the high priest of Khemenu—the bright-eyed and gentle-hearted Cyno. At first glance, Cyno is the picture of strength and devotion, leading his people into the new age with a blazing torch held high above his head. But his resilient facade hides his biggest secret: Cyno is dying, caught in the throes of a mysterious disease that no one has ever heard of.
Unwilling to give up on his patient as so many of Cyno’s doctors have, Tighnari races against the clock to find a cure. But the sand in the hourglass is slowly dwindling away, and greater forces might be at play than the simplicity of an incurable illness.
As Cyno withers into a shadow of himself and Tighnari grapples with his growing feelings for his patient, only time will tell what lies ahead for the two.
