Summary
Jotaro will never forget that fleeting encounter when Uncle Josuke turned up for the first time. He'd seemed restless, nervous, but kind and nurturing for a boy of only twenty years old. Even at the tender age of eight, Jotaro had felt drawn to him. Jotaro didn’t understand at the time, just why Josuke was so separated from the family, treated like some delicate secret that had to be kept at all costs, but the more he grew, the more he realized that Josuke was special. Josuke was a light. Warm, but ephemeral. As a child, he merely wanted to see Josuke more.
But he's not a child anymore, and Jotaro's innocent feelings of attachment have become something more. Too bad Josuke is so damn unreachable, buried in a failing marriage, attending school, trying to raise a child...
When Josuke reaches out after a long period of silence and asks Jotaro for help on a case, Jotaro takes a chance. He tells himself he just wants to help out, but deep in the darkest corners of his heart the festering need to have Josuke close at his side says something different. Can Jotaro bury his feelings long enough to catch a serial killer, or will they overwhelm him and drive Josuke away for good?
