Summary
"Some pirates wear a parrot on their shoulders, but having a dragon perched on your mast is much more effective when terrorizing enemies"
San couldn't remember much about his childhood. The days were always the same. The sun rose, the sun set. The waves hit the beach, the wind caused tickling under his scales.
All he knew about the world outside his island came from sailors who anchored to replenish their supplies. He was always happy when that happened and he got to hear new stories, had often considered leaving the medium-sized island and starting a new life somewhere else, but he knew nothing but life on the island.
When one day a battered ship appeared on the horizon, its sails full of holes and its hull even more full of holes, he could hardly wait to hear the story of the sailors. But on his beach drag seven pirates, the only survivors of a raid on them, and San finds himself almost forced to heal both the physical and psychological injuries of the boys.
Especially Captain Kim Hongjoong arouses his interest. But will the gruff, emotionally introverted pirate let a lone dragon into his heart? Will San perhaps leave his island after all these years?
