Work Text:
Lady Bug gasped in horror as her yoyo slipped from her sweaty hands. Curse Hood for barging in on her half-suited up, forcing her to grab the closest weapon gloveless.
A heavy leather boot stopped the metal yoyo’s glide across the floor.
Scrambling to her feet, she attempted to run to her nearest cache and re-arm herself, but Hood’s larger size and longer legs carried him across the ground much quicker than her.
She snatched a knife from behind a painting, prepared to go down fighting.
Grabbing her wrist, Hood twisted painfully until she dropped the knife into his waiting hand.
Her free hand attempted to snag one of his pistols from his thigh holster while he was distracted with her knife, but he also had a free arm and caught her.
Holding both wrists in one hand, he pressed her into the wall, her arms pinned above her head. Cold teal eyes looked down at her, his presence wrapping around her and making her knees weak.
She caught a whiff of his scent, reminding her of last night, and she forced herself to stay present.
The hand holding her knife traced the flat of the blade down her cheek, across her neck, and back up her arm, where he grasped the handle in the hand holding hers. With his other hand now free, he wrapped it around her waist and pulled her into him.
Lady Bug cursed herself for melting into him so easily. His lips met hers, much softer than she’d imagined, and she reciprocated easily.
It’s just so he’ll be distracted and you can free your hands , she told herself shamelessly. Indeed, he let her left hand slip and she wrapped it around his neck– to choke him better when your other hand is free.
She interlocked their fingers slowly, sliding it down the wall as she ground into him, nipping at his lip. The knife dropped to the floor in a sharp ting ! Yet neither paid it any attention, pawing at each other’s clothes.
The cool air hitting her warm torso sobered her temporarily, and she realized with a sharp pang that this was goodbye.
Suddenly dropping to her knees, she wiped her hands on his thighs, snatched the knife up and sprinted away, kicking his knees out on her way out.
Not stopping to button her blouse up, she kicked her bike to life and took off in a cloud of dust.
