Work Text:

Tanya was waiting outside for Vince to pick her up. It was beginning to get freezing out and started to snow, but she didn't mind. Her nose started feeling frigid and achy. She had been out there for a while. Her nose and hands were getting cold. Tanya took a deep breath.  Where is he?  A smile spread across her face when she saw Vince's car driving into the parking lot. Tanya waved to him.

Vince drove to her and rolled down his window, "Hey, sorry I was late," He smiled, "I was a little bit busy before getting here."

"It's alright," Tanya said, getting into his car.

He began driving. "How was work," Her boyfriend casually asked, keeping his eyes on the road.

"Pretty good," Tanya told him, smiling, "Just had to work my  ass  off today because we were short-staffed, but other than that, it was good."

"That's good."

Tanya looked out her window. It was foggy from the cold weather. She wiped away some of the fog with her glove. It was snowing out, more than she expected. It was beautiful. Winter was always her favorite season because of the snow and beautiful atmosphere. And, of course, the fact it was the season she and Vince started dating.

One year ago, on December 25th, 1966. Vince confessed his love for her on Christmas day. It was snowing heavily, and the Christmas lights perfectly set the scene. As a gift, he had gotten them matching necklaces, a golden sun, and a silver moon. Long story short, it was so sweet and beautiful that it made Tanya cry.

"We're here," Vince told her. Tanya got so caught up in her memories that she wasn't paying any attention. Tanya turned to Vince and gently kissed him. His kisses always made her feel warm and happy. He was always so gentle and sweet. It would make her blush.

"Thanks for the ride," Tanya said, grinning.

"Don't mention it," Vince said. Tanya began walking to the house. He watched her, making sure nothing bad would happen. When she walked through that front door, he smiled and drove away.
