Chapter 1: ::Prologue::
Chapter Text
This villain was powerful. Incredibly so. They were powerful enough to get through Donnie’s battle shell, which was built for protection against the enemy’s claws.
But now, Donnie’s shell was bleeding. A lot. Raph was panicking (rightfully so), and Mikey was carrying the softshell as Leo tried to scavenge for supplies such as staples while running.
This was the most stressful mission they’ve ever had; at least Donnie wasn’t bleeding out after they captured the Shredder. At least they
could
capture the Shredder.
Tigerclaw was still chasing after them (courtesy to Leo for the name), and Raph tried his best to hold off the large mutant while the others were getting away.
“Leo, just make a portal!” he heard Mikey yell, and gave a final blow before turning to see the bright blue glow of one of Leo’s portals. He waited until everyone else was through before jumping in.
Leo immediately closed the portal.
“Um, Leo…do you know where we are?” Raph spoke, voice still shaking from anxiety.
“Not the time, Raph. Don needs medical help, now. ” Leo hissed before going on to correct Mikey with how he was tending to the wound. “Mikey, continue holding pressure there. No, that's his spine. Yeah, like that…”
“Should we, like, call out for help?” the snapper asked, bringing his hand up to rub at the back of his neck.
“Raphael, I know you aren’t stupid. Yeah, they’d save Don, but they’d experiment on-”
“INTRUDERS!”
Chapter 2
Summary:
The story begins! The boys meet Nezu and are tossed into this world headfirst with little knowledge on anything.

“INTRUDERS!”
They looked to find the source of the voice, which happened to be a man, a human man , taller than even Raph. Quickly, the facade of ‘strong’ was broken, as the man let out a wheezy cough and shrunk in brawn. Raph ran over to the man’s aid after seeing the blood on his chin.
“Sir! Are you okay? You’re bleeding!” he spoke frantically.
“Yes, yes. I’m fine. Now, I don’t remember you three being students here. Why are you on school grounds?” the man asked, leaning slightly against Raph.
“Four, sir. Our brother got…really injured. Leo needs to staple his shell,” Mikey explained.
“I suppose Recovery Girl won’t mind…come with me.”
“You don’t seem to mind that we’re, uh, turtles,” Mikey stated, following the man as he adjusted Donnie in his arms, causing sticky blood to seep through his fingers. He forced himself to not vomit at the feeling.
“We have many mutation quirks in UA High,” he spoke, quickening his pace.
“Mutations? Mutants? Like us?” Raph asked, causing Leo to snort.
“No, Raph. Mutation means something totally different here,” he spoke sarcastically.
“We don’t use the term mutant.”
They found themselves at a door that would slide open when approached, and followed the old man inside. He greeted an elderly woman, and she gave him a look that could kill them all.
“Chiyo, this child has an injured shell,” he briefly explained.
“Oh, hello. Lay the injured one on the bed,” she spoke softly to the turtles, and Mikey gently laid Donnie on his stomach, earning a groan from the softshell.
“He’s a spiny softshell, if that…changes anything. We’re used to patching it up, but I understand most people don’t have that experience. I could do it if you just have staples, but you can’t use resin on his shell like you would with any of ours,” Leo rambled, unaware of the fact that his brother was already healed from a small kiss from the old woman.
“Woah! How- what?!” He was brought out of his trance by Mikey’s shocked exclamation, staring at his brother’s completely uninjured shell.
“It’s my quirk, darlings. Now that your brother is out of the danger zone, my name is Chiyo, but the students here call me Recovery Girl. This is Toshinori, and he will be getting a stern talking to for bringing in children who do not attend UA,” the old lady introduced.
“Raphael,” the snapper introduced.
“Leonardo,” the slider was next.
“Michelangelo,” the box turtle.
“Um, the one in the bed is Donatello. We’re all Hamatos. Brothers, actually. Donnie’s my twin. Thanks for helping him, by the way,” Leo spoke his gratitude quietly, staring at the ground by his feet.
“It’s my job, dearie. Now, we should call Shota and Nezu, shouldn’t we, Yagi?” Recovery Girl looked over at Toshinori, who already had his phone out, presumably texting the two mentioned.
“You said you don’t use the term mutants. Do you guys use yokai, like the people in the Hidden City?”
Toshinori looked up quickly, glancing between the three, conscious turtles.
“Are you yokai?”
“We’re in Japan.”
They looked over to the groggy, monotone voice to see Donnie sitting up.
“What’s that have to do with anything?” Leo retorted.
“They’re yokai in New York, ‘Nardo. Japan has different beliefs and myths. No, we aren’t yokai, sir,” Donnie stated, and Toshinori nodded stiffly.
“All Might, would you like to explain why there are four turtles who do not attend UA in the nurse’s office?”
“Aizawa! Uh, Donatello-kun was injured and needed immediate medical attention,” Toshinori stumbled over his words, and Donnie looked between the newcomers; Aizawa and some...mouse mutant.
“Hello, boys! I am Nezu, principal of the prestigious UA High School! I hope you are feeling better, Donatello. I sense you would all be good heroes, considering in your universe-”
“Our universe?” Raph questioned the words of the mutant.
"Yes! One without quirks, heroes, or villains!" Nezu elaborated. "Anyway. You would be excellent heroes considering you were a vigilante group in your universe, and you were incredible, I sense."
"So…" Donnie pushed Nezu to continue.
"I believe it would be beneficial to you four, to UA, and to society for you to join the hero course!"
"You've got to be kidding. These boys haven't even done the entrance exams," Aizawa stated, only to be ignored.
"You will each be assigned a student in class 1-A to spar. Your points determine whether you join class A or class B."
"Cool, well, we're all different ages, so I don't know how this is going to work," Leo spoke, leaning against the linen sheets of the nurse's bed.
"You have all trained since you were young, yes? The same year?"
"Yeah. I was 6, the twins were 5, and Mikey was 4. Why-"
"You all have the same experience levels, so you will all start in 1-A. Problem averted!" Nezu said enthusiastically.
"Okay. Who will we spar?" Mikey asked, arms crossed in a determined stance.
"Raphael, you will spar against Bakugou. His quirk is Explosion. He sweats nitroglycerin and sets it on fire to make explosions that range in size."
"That's…pretty cool, actually!" Raph smiled, showing off his snaggletooth.
"Leonardo, you will spar against Iida. His quirk is Engines. He has engines on his calves that help him accelerate to speeds higher than the average jet."
"Man! This goes against the whole point of my odachi!"
"Donatello, you will spar against Yaoyorozu. Her quirk is Creation. She is able to create any object out of her body fat as long as she knows the molecular structure."
"An interesting power. It's similar to my own, though I don't use body fat. My mystic power is purely based on my emotions."
"And Michelangelo. You will spar against Midoriya. His quirk is currently unknown to us, but we do know it makes him incredibly strong, fast, and agile."
"So, Raph fights against explosives, Leo's against a literal jet, Donnie will fight a living workbench, and I'll be against a comic superhero. This is exciting!" Mikey spoke, vibrating in his spot.
They were then led to what the black haired male called “Ground Zero”, where four students stood.

The sparring was fairly uneventful. They all got enough points to join the 1-A hero course together, and it was time to introduce themselves to the whole class. They were just waiting for Sensei's cue.
Speaking of the cue, it came.
Raph led the way in, followed by the twins, who were poking at each other, and then Mikey.
"Introduce yourselves however you'd like. I know the standard is your name, quirk, and one thing about you, but I really don't care," Sensei spoke, sitting at his desk to wait.
"Okay, um, I'm Raphael Hamato. I'm an alligator snapping turtle, and my…quirk? Yeah, my quirk is that I can basically make copies of myself, along with a huge shield. I enjoy training."
"My name is Leonardo Hamato, I'm obviously a red-eared slider, as you can see by my gorgeous stripes! My quirk is teleportation; I can make portals to anywhere I want. I like annoying my twin," to prove his point, he shoved the softshell, who simply rolled his eyes.
"Donatello. I'm a spiny softshell, hence the battle shell that I recently was forced to repair with very little supplies . I can basically make any tool as long as I can connect with my emotions. I like my robot son."
"I'm Michelangelo, you can call me Mikey, though. Or anything, really. I'm an ornate box turtle, and I can basically enhance my strength using my nunchaku! I like any kind of art."
Donnie tuned most of the introductions from the class out, aside from names.

He specifically took note of Mineta, who seemed to eye Leo with a look Donnie couldn’t pin. Clearly Leo noticed, too, as his stance slumped a bit and his legs crossed.
“We’re willing to answer any questions you have, so, uh, ask away?” Raph stated awkwardly.
“You're all different species, yet you claim to be brothers. Especially Leonardo and Donatello being twins. Why?” Todoroki asked, and Donnie was first to answer.
“Well, we all have the same parents, we just so happened to end up different species, like how siblings can have related quirks that aren’t quite the same. As for me and Leo, we’re just not identical twins.”
“You don’t even act similar!” Ashido piped up, and the oldest and youngest turtles bit back laughs.
“Oh boy, when Donnie isn’t super awkward and stiff, you should see them,” Raph cackled.
“Dad always called them the disaster twins because of the shenanigans they get into!” Mikey added. The twins shared a smirk.
“Do you guys, like, fight?” Kaminari asked, and the two youngest looked between Raph and Leo.
“Well…jokingly, we all pick on each other, especially the twins. But Raph and Leo are constantly at each other's throats!” Mikey exclaimed exasperatedly, dramatically putting his hand to his head in a fainting motion.
“Who’s your parents' favourite kid?” Uraraka piped up.
“Pops likes Mikey, Drax likes Donnie,” Raph replied.
“Is there anything we should know to accommodate your needs?” Iida asked stiffly.
“Me and Leon…tend to have a hard time with stimulatory regulation. Mikey has tremors in his hands, and Raph has a hard time reading,” Donnie spoke for all of them, recalling the notes he had taken on his brothers.
“Do you all have different nicknames you call each other?” Kirishima wondered.
“Yeah, actually. For me, Donatello is either Don or Donnie. Leonardo is just Leo. Michelangelo is Mikey or pipsqueak. Our dads are Pops and Drax,” Raph started the line.
“I call Don
loads
of things. Donnie, Dee, Don, Tello, Don Tron…all those. Raph is Raphadoodle, Rapharoni, Boss Man, and Raphie when I want something. Mikey is Mike or Miguel. Dad is just…Dad, and I don’t associate with the man who
threw me off a roof,
” Leonardo continued.
“Oh! I just call Raph Raphie, Leo is just…Leo, and Donnie is Donald,” Mikey looked at Donnie to continue. He quickly let it go once he saw the softshell was metaphorically gone, eyes darting quickly across the room. “Donnie usually calls my Michael, Raph is Raphala, and he calls Leo-”
“Leo, Leon, Nardo, Lee…anything along those lines. He calls Dad Papa and Draxum is just…Draxum,” Leo cut Mikey off.
“Do you have hero names picked out yet?” Sero questioned, and Leo was first to pipe up.
“Oh! I’m gonna be Neon Leon! It was what I tried to make my wrestling name, but the ref said it was a no go. So anyways, yeah, I’m gonna be Neon Leon.”
“Raph’s thinkin Red Hulk. I’m not sure yet, though,” Raph said next.
“I’m also not sure, but I like Dr. Delicate Touch: The gentle hero,” Mikey smiled, and Leo gave a look.
“Man, as someone who’s been a victim of Dr. DT, he is not gentle,” the slider stated.
“Another question: What's up with the purple one?” Bakugou asked.
“He’s dissociating. Not surprising considering the circumstances. Actually, Leo, you should take him out. He might be overwhelmed,” Mikey explained, and Leo immediately put his hand above his twin’s artificial shell and guided him out of the room.
“What are your pronouns? And sexualities, if you’re comfortable answering that one,” Hagakure asked, and Mikey ignored the snigger that came from Mineta.
“Well, I go by anything, and I’m straight, I only like girls,” Mikey responded, shrugging. “I am an ally, though. It’d be weird if I wasn’t.”
“I use he/him, and I’m aro/ace. Like Mikey, I am still a complete ally,” Raph answered next.
“Donnie prefers he/him, but he’s also fine with being referred to with they/them pronouns, and he’s pretty open about being bisexual. Leo exclusively uses he/him, and he’s cool with his gay identity being shared,” Mikey explained.
“So you’re all guys,” Mineta stated.
Leo walked back in at this point, leaving Donnie to calm down.
“Yeah, we’re all guys,” Mikey laughed.
“With penises.”
“Wh- dude you do not need to know what's in our pants!”
“I just wanna know if you’re real men or not. I can’t see anything there.”
“One, stop looking. Two, yes, we’re real men. If you knew anything about turtle anatomy, you’d know that you can’t just see our dicks!” Mikey spoke, shocked.
“So you don’t have-”
“That is none of your fucking business, dude!” Leo snapped, hands raised in a competitive stance.
“Okay, boys. Mineta, you needn't ask such personal questions," a raspy, tired voice came from behind them. They immediately rushed to sit down in three of four empty seats. One was larger, for Raph.
“Now that I have your attention, Present Mic is going to teach second period for English rather than first, so right now, we will be doing Maths.”
Chapter 4
Notes:
I am sorry this took so long. My parents separated, I had a pregnancy scare (yikesss), and I got a new dog. Sorry tho, trying to get this baby back on track!
Chapter Text
Raph sat at his desk and watched as the teacher wrote equations on the board, along with different formulas. It went to mush in his head, however, as the letters and numbers blended together to make a whole lot of nothing.
He looked over at Donnie, who had returned back with his headphones and was writing notes enthusiastically. Raphael would love to have a brain like his younger brother. One that could process and solve information in seconds. In fact, he’d love to be more like all of his little brothers.
Leo was witty and quick. He could come up with a plan in seconds and continue to explain that plan in a way that made sense to everyone. He wasn’t book smart like Donnie, but he was streetsmart. He was good at keeping everyone safe while also defeating the enemy.
Mikey had a high emotional intelligence quotient, as Donnie put it. Mikey just said he had high empathy. He knew what was going on with someone emotionally within seconds of analysing them. He could diagnose and treat simple mental illness so easily.
His brothers’ intelligences were things Raph could never even hope to obtain. It was no wonder Dad had demoted him. What was his purpose now?
Tap, tap
He looked towards the person tapping on his desk and tried to remember her name. Yaoyorozu, his mind supplied.
“Yeah?” he whispered, slightly tilting his head.
“You seemed a bit stressed. Are you okay? I understand that a new environment can be a bit stressful,” she spoke softly. “You can work with me and Iida if you’d like.”
He looked up at the board, seeing nothing but a page number. He nodded slowly, moving his desk over to Yaoyorozu and the boy.
Meanwhile, Leo had moved over to his twin, scrawling something quickly on paper before handing it to Donnie.
I don’t understand this.
Donnie let out a small chuckle, writing beneath the messy words in his own, neater writing.
You don’t understand the formula the teacher just spent 15 minutes on?
Leo took it, scoffed, and wrote again.
No :(
“Hello.”
Both boys looked up to the monotone voice, seeing a boy with heterochromatic hair. Donnie scrawled something out before circling it.
You’re Todoroki, right?
Todoroki nodded.
“Midoriya told me to talk to you guys. I don’t know why.”
“Sit down! Uh, Dee’s nonverbal right now, sooo…” Leo trailed off.
“Nonverbal?”
Donnie scribbled something down before handing it to Todoroki.
Can’t talk rn.
“Oh, okay. That’s fine. Do either of you understand this?”
“I don’t. Makes no sense. Who decided to put letters into maths anyway?"
Mikey, on the other hand, was having a bit more trouble making friends. He wasn't energetically approachable like Leo, he didn't have good humour like Donnie, and he didn't have the older brother kindness like Raph. She was just…Mikey. Mikey, who was stuck doing this stupid maths alone while watching their brothers interact with classmates.
Find the coordinates of -⅘ to (2,7).
How was he supposed to do that using the formula the teacher gave him?!
They began doodling on their notebook, too frustrated to work.
"Here. Use the fraction as a rise over run, where you slide on the Y axis -4, and the X axis 5. I have graph paper if you wanna try with that?"
Mikey looked up and made eye contact with brown eyes, lighter than Donnie's, but not light enough to be considered hazel.
"Hi, um, sure. I'm Mik- you know that…sorry!" he stumbled, and she laughed, handing him a piece of paper with squares. Donnie only ever had lined paper; he'd never seen squared paper!
"Here. Mark this as the x axis…and this is the y axis…there. Now mark out your coordinates as a dot. Right…here! Now, go down four, because its -4 for the rise…and go right 5, because thats the run. Now this is your final position. Just write the coords now," Uraraka explained. Mikey counted to get the answer, and ended up with (7,3). He jotted it down in his notebook along with the process.
Answer: 7,3
Process: placed the original coords on graph, moved down four and right five, as the slope was -⅘. Final plot point was (7,3)
He looked back over at the graph paper to see a phone number written in purple ballpoint, under the words Call Me.
"Class dismissed. Present Mic's English should go there now. The rest of you may go to Midnight's room."
Mikey glanced at his schedule. He was in English.
"Hey, I'm with Midnight. Who're you with?" Uraraka asked, and Mikey frowned.
"Present Mic. Is he good?"
"Yeah. But ask Todoroki for a tylenol for the headache you're bound to get. He's the one talking to your brothers," she said, pointing to the red and white haired boy currently reading a note that Donnie probably passed to him.
"Okay, cool. See you at lunch?" Mikey asked, making eye contact with the brown haired girl. They smiled before walking towards the twins.
“Mikester! You got Present Mic?” Leo asked.
“Yeah. Uraraka told me I was gonna get a headache,” she nodded. They looked over to Donnie before adding, “is he okay?”
“Oh yeah, he’s good. Just N-V right now. Luckily he’s got Midnight now, I guess…hopefully,” the slider shrugged before grabbing Mikey’s shoulder and leading him out of the room. He left them there for a second, but came back almost immediately. “Forgot to say bye to Dee,” he clarified.
Mikey began walking, looking at the numbers on each door.
“What number do we need?” he asked, looking towards Leo, who glanced at his paper.
“342.”
“We’re at room 58. Did Todoroki tell you if there were multiple floors?” she asked, stopping her quick walk. Leo shook his head slowly. A blond teacher with hair that seemed to defy gravity walked passed them. Mikey gestured for Leo to speak.
“Heyyy, man! You got any idea where Present Mic’s room is? We’re new here, and we just…don’t know the layout,” he rested his hand on the back of his neck, feigning anxiety.
“No worries, listener! Come with me!” the teacher yelled, causing both Mikey and Leo to flinch at the volume.
“Thank you. We appreciate it,” Mikey showed his gratitude before continuing after the blond, into an elevator.
Was that there before?
The teacher pressed the button for floor three, and they begun ascending. The first door for the floor was 330.
“I don’t remember seeing you around,” he said, exiting the elevator behind the boys.
“We’re new here!” Mikey exclaimed.
“I noticed your pronunciation. You’ll be good in my English class. I’m Present Mic,” the blond introduced, before stopping the boys to unlock a door with some of their classmates and more, in front of it.
“We’re speaking Japanese? Did you notice?” Leo asked, and Mikey shook his head.
They followed the rest of the class into the room, which was painted a dulled yellow, with bright, fluorescent lighting. Mikey took note of Leo’s hesitance to walk in and blamed it on the constant buzz of noise he always complained about.
She looked around, seeing some people she wasn’t familiar with. The lightning bolt haired guy (Kaminari?) was talking to a red-haired girl, and Bakugou was yelling at another smug blond. A clap sounded, and their eyes snapped to the source.
“As Class 1-A knows already, we have two new students in this class. Would you two introduce yourselves to the B students?” Present Mic asked, and Mikey nodded, stepping up to the front.
“I’m Mikey, or, Michelangelo. Whatever you want to call me, really,” they shrugged. He looked to Leo, giving him the go-ahead to speak.
“Leonardo,” he stated simply. They both left to sit down. Mikey sat next to the blond that Bakugou was yelling at before PM stopped him, and Leo was seated next to Kaminari.
Raph and Donnie were having a bit more trouble. They still hadn’t found room 58 yet, and the softshell was beginning to get stressed. The halls were repetitive; they had no idea if they were making progress or just going in circles. It didn’t help that they’d passed five elevators already. Or maybe it was one, but five times. Raph had begun stressing out, and his stress scent was getting on Donnie’s nerves.
“Is there a reason you boys are out of class?” a male voice asked, causing both teenagers to spin around.
“Yeah- uh, we don’t know where Midnight’s classroom is, so…” the snapper trailed off.
“What do you mean? It’s right there."
"Oh. Oops, sorry," Raph mumbled before walking into the room. Donnie followed behind him, picking at his nails anxiously.
"Hello, boys. You're late."
Donatello looked up to see a pretty woman whose outfit was definitely a bit…sexual for a high school.
"Sorry, I- sorry!" Donnie looked towards his older brother, who was averting his eyes anywhere but the teacher. He elbowed him.
"Sorry. Won't happen again," Donnie nodded before heading to his seat. He was next to the Mineta kid from earlier. Raphael was next to two boys who looked similar, aside from colour. Kirishima and some guy from another class, Donnie assumed.
"We have two new students, as you can see. Would you boys like to introduce yourselves or shall I?" the teacher asked.
"I'm Donatello Hamato. My brother is Raphael. We're from America. We are very excited to be here," Don said in his usual monotone voice, causing a couple of sniggers (much to Raph's dismay).
Little did Donnie know that this was the start of a horrible year for him.
