He was dead.
You knew this since the last time you ever spoke to him was over the phone on that wretched night: September 29th, 1998. How could you possibly forget? For the past six years, you mourned the loss of your childhood best friend. Over time you’d gotten better at dealing with the suffocating grief, but the weight of his absence never truly left. Your closest confidant, your first love, the one you'd spent nights curled up with excitedly planning a life together in Raccoon City... Except that dream never came true. It had been cruelly ripped to shreds and blown up, just like that cursed city was in the days following the incident. Up until now, you thought the only remains of him left resided there, mixed with the ashes of the other unfortunate souls who were there that night. Thanks to Umbrella, Raccoon City was nothing but a graveyard full of lies and promises that could never be kept.
