Work Text:
Tweek suffers from insomnia, and Craig often caught him late at night doing something, other than being in bed.
“Hon, why are you downstairs right now?”
“I wasn’t tired…”
“Let me make you tea.”
Craig didn’t mind taking care of his partner and ensuring his needs were met. He found it endearing to see Tweek drowsy and sleepy beside him, even though he had to encourage Tweek to go to bed. These moments strengthened his affection for his lover and made him appreciate their relationship even more.
Tonight was an unusual night. Both Craig and Tweek were wide awake, as was often the case for Tweek. Craig lay in bed, observing as Tweek played with a small object.
Feeling a sense of loneliness, he noticed Tweek’s absence from his side and the impact of the rainy weather on the temperature of their room. The clock had already struck midnight, and there was a noticeable stillness in the air.
Craig soon breaks the silence. “Hon, what are you up to?” It startles Tweek.
“Ah, I’m just…” his hands jittered, “nothing.” Tweek turns to look at Craig. He was sitting up, head resting against the headboard. He appeared as though he had not experienced any sleep deprivation, with no signs of exhaustion visible on his face.
As he spoke in a low voice, Craig said, “It just didn’t feel the same with you beside me.” Tweek’s face reddened, and he felt uncertain about how to respond. He looked down at the trinket he was fidgeting with, feeling a warmth in his chest.
Craig reached out to gently take the trinket out of his hand. He placed it on the nightstand and turned to face Tweek. “You know I love you, right?” he said, his voice soft and reassuring.
Tweek nodded, feeling tears prick at the corners of his eyes. “I love you too,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Craig leaned in and pressed a kiss to Tweek’s forehead. “Let’s do something,” he said, “I don’t think I can sleep just yet.”
Tweek’s eyes twinkled, his interest piqued. “Like what?” he asked.
“How about we go get something to eat?” Craig suggested. Tweek’s face lit up, excited at the prospect of a late-night snack.
Craig suggested getting something to eat, not just because he was hungry, but because he wanted to spend this precious night with Tweek. As they got in the car and drove to the food place, Craig couldn’t help but steal glances at Tweek, admiring how the streetlights made his hair shine, and how his eyes sparkled with excitement.
He loved Tweek with all his heart, and he knew that he always would. Craig loved how he was always there for him, even when things got tough, and how he never failed to make him laugh with his quirky antics. He loved the way Tweek’s smile could light up a room and how he always seemed to know just what to do or say to make him feel better, even if it was unintentional.
As they pulled into the drive-thru, Craig reached over and took Tweek’s hand in his, entwining their fingers together. Tweek looked over at him, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips, and Craig knew that he was just as happy to be there with him as he was.
Craig leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to Tweek’s cheek. Tweek’s face flushed with happiness. He couldn’t help but admire his boyfriend. “You know, honey,” he said, his eyes full of adoration, “I just love everything about you. Your blonde, pretty hair, your quirky personality - it’s all so perfect to me.”
Tweek looked at Craig, his eyes shining with happiness, but still unsure of what to say. Craig, “And even when you’re feeling anxious and scared, I still think you’re the most precious person I’ve ever met.”
His lover felt his cheeks flushing at his words. “Are you sure you’re not tired?” Tweek deflected.
Craig reach over and took Tweek’s hand in his, squeezing it gently. He chuckled, “I don’t think I could ever find someone as perfect for me as you are… and I’m as wide awake as you can be, babe.”
As they pulled up to the window to pick up their food, Tweek couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. He felt so love and appreciated.
Whilst eating, Tweek and Craig leaned in closer to each other. Craig took Tweek’s cold face in his hands, staring deeply into his eyes.
He leaned in, pressing his lips gently against Tweek’s. Tweek’s heart raced as he felt Craig’s warm breath against his skin. He wrapped his arm around Craig’s neck, pulling him in closer.
Their kiss was slow and passionate, filled with all the love and affection they had for each other. Craig felt as though he was on top of the world, completely lost in the moment with Tweek.
Tweek ran his hands through Craig’s hair as they deepened the kiss. Craig’s hands roamed over his lover’s figure. Tweek moaned softly as Craig’s lips moved to his neck, leaving a trail of soft kisses.
As they finally pulled away, they were both left breathless and wanting more. Tweek couldn’t help but smile as he leaned back against his seat, feeling satisfied and content.
“The stars look extra bright tonight,” Craig says, catching his breath. Tweak laughs, “Finish your hash browns.”
Craig chuckles, taking another bite of his hash browns before turning his gaze to the night sky.
“It’s just so peaceful out here,” Craig says, taking a deep breath of the cool night air. “I could like this forever.”
Tweek smiles, his heart swelling with love as he looks at Craig. He leans over and presses a soft kiss on Craig’s cheek. “Thank you for spending your night like this with me,” he whispers.
Craig smiles, reaching over to hold Tweek’s hand. “Anytime, my love.”
