Chapter Text
Jimmy didn't know why Walker decided to arrest them now, they weren't even in the Ghost Zone! You break every ghost law known to the dead and this is how his team gets treated. He sat on the ground of his cell, bored, waiting for Danny's signal that they were clear to just, you know, walk out. None of them were ghosts, except Danny, but being only half ghost had its perks. Jimmy had given up on making sense of Danny, ghosts, and his world in general after a very close encounter with Skulker's blade and Johnny 13s wrath years ago, accepting that Danny was from a different world and that's just how it be. At least, thats what he keeps telling himself, cause damn if he wasnt still very interested in how the fuck a human could be half dead.
He was pulled away from his thoughts when he heard his parents silently freaking out next to him. He figured they would be more concerned then they were, they seemed relatively calm all things considered. Maybe having their child act like this was a normal Tuesday dampened their concern. To be fair, this was a normal Tuesday, Walker had become more persistent over the years that his team “serve their sentence”, and had arrested them more times then he could count these past couple months. He certainly didn't want to tell his parents that he was kind of a wanted criminal in a different world, but the look of fear on their faces made him realize he had to say something.
“It's okay, we're not staying here long. Walker always forgets we can just walk through the walls.” Maybe he should have provided more context first, based on their confused looks that seemed to overpower all other emotions. He had been so used to his group that he forgot his parents don't exactly know who Walker is, and aren't used to their child talking about tangible walls like they’re intangible objects, even though here they are. He opens his mouth to provide more context when he sees Timmy's head peak through the wall.
“Soft serve, there you are! We’re all convening in Danny's cell. I guess Walker gave up on security in the halls, Danny thinks the guards must be at any exits now. Cmon.” Timmy jerks his head behind him before phasing back through it. Jimmy got up, ready to go, until he noticed the shocked expression on both his parents' faces. Maybe he should explain things, he honestly should've done that before bringing them to Danny's world, but he didnt think Walker would arrest any of them outside the Ghost Zone.
“You know how I said Danny's world was a little different to ours?” He asked. “Well, his world is different because of ghosts. They have this place called the ‘Ghost Zone’, that's where we are now. The Ghost Zone prison to be exact.” He helped his parents up, trying his best to explain everything. He didn't believe any of it when he first came here, so he expected his parents to look at him like he's crazy. They did, in fact, do just that.
“G-ghosts, Jimbo? That sounds like utter nonsense.” His father said, attempting to sound confident, though he looked less sure than his wife. “Is this all an elaborate prank you kids are pulling? It sure is impressive.” He continued, walking towards the wall Timmy had phased through, though pulled back with a small scream when Timmy came through the wall again.
“Cmon, Brain, we don't have all day.” Timmy said with a huff, deciding to come fully through the wall this time.
“Well I’m sorry, Pinky, but half the people here haven't been here before. I’m sure your parents are just as confused.” Jimmy snapped back.
“Yeah but I just dragged them along, they'll get the jist of it soon. Danny’s coming up with escape plans now and you know he won't repeat himself.” Timmy said, grabbing Jimmy's coat sleeve and lightly tugging him back towards the wall. Timmy looked to Jimmy's parents. “I promise we can explain everything, but I would love to get out of here first. We can just, walk through the walls here. Follow us.”
He pulled Jimmy through the wall, which was normal to Jimmy at this point, but he was worried about how his parents were handling this. It was one hell of a world to get used to when you lived in a place like Retroville. He was relieved to see his parents following them, though wearily. Fair enough , he thinks.
They arrived in Danny's cell, though Jimmy wonders why they don't just talk in the halls. If there aren't any guards they could talk out there. He was about to bring that up, but the look on Danny's face , full of determination and mischief, made him shut up. Whatever, Jimmy loved crowded rooms, he didn't hate this at all. Not long after they squeezed their way into the room his parents managed to as well. He listened in on the conversation Danny was having with his parents.
“We can't just mess with random ghosts, sweetie. We have no idea how this one could react.” He heard Maddie say, though he couldn't see her past Jack. The look on Danny's face made Jimmy realize that this may not be like their normal escape attempts.
“Oh come on, he isn't gonna hurt us. Worst he’ll do is try locking us back up here again. We can just leave, every time. So why not just, make him regret bringing us here while leaving. Maybe he’ll think twice before doing this again.” Danny tried reasoning, but his parents looked at him as if he was crazy.
“If we can leave then lets just leave , I don't want to stay in this weird world any longer than I have to.” Mrs. Turner grumbled, and Jimmy almost agreed with her.
Almost.
Messing with Walker did sound really fun though. He wanted to get back at him for ruining the day they had planned. Does Walker have any idea how much planning it took to get everyone together. He was looking forward to this day, and now they're spending it in the Ghost Zone prison. Danny seemed to be on a similar thinking path, and he turned to Timmy, who didnt need to be asked twice to fuck shit up.
“Hey Tim, what items you have on you?” Danny asked, and Timmy rummaged through his pockets, a mischievous look of his own on his face.
“Duh, some batteries, a lighter, and some hand sanitizer.” Timmy responded.
“Why do you have so many flammable objects on you?” He heard Spongebob ask, startling Jimmy. He finally spotted the little guy. Damn, he really was that small, he hadn't seen him until now. Timmy just smirked, “Come on, you know why.”
Danny looked at the items Timmy now held. “Yeah, this’ll work.”
“Danny I swear if you blow something up-” Jazz started, suddenly next to her brother's side, attempting to be his voice of reason.
She was too late, though. Danny and Timmys look meant they were 100% about to commit more crimes in this place, and she couldn't stop them.
Jimmy was 100% on board.
