The slides were rough covered with a layer of dirt, metal scraps sticking out, Swings janky perhaps a bit broken. the seesaws looked simply wretched, the vivid bright colours of the once lively playground equipment now once faded to obscurity leaving behind a trail of dampness to set sight upon
Of course, having said all of that... Just why was she here?
She couldn't understand. Yet there was something about the place that invoked her curiosity.
She wasn't a kid obviously, nor did she have any interest in exploring anything beyond this. She just so happened to stumble upon this place on accident clearly that's not a excuse to hide her true intentions
Or is it?
A few days ago, or just yesterday. If she can still recall correctly. A conversation between her and K happened that is still burned on her mind. Unable to get out.
It goes something like this;
K: Hmm, yuki? Is there something on your mind lately? You seem quite.. zoned out
Yuki: Ahhh, Well...yes! It's just me thinking about my exam scores..sorry I wasn't speaking
K: Oh I see, There's no need to be worried about that yuki. Im sure you'll do amazing on it aswell just like all your other exams.
K: Also if it might help you I can tell you a few way's on how I relieve my stress on situations like these. If you don't mind will it help?
Yuki: Of course, why not K, I'd like to hear your approach here perhaps it might help.
K: Alright, I hope you don't mind my own ramblings aha!
After that, K started describing her own ways to deal with stress. Some of them were quite amusing, other's a bit questionable but nothing too self-destructive as far as Mafuyu was aware.
Yuki: Is that all? Some of them do quite seem helpful, I'll try them out. Thank's K!
K: Well, there's another method I sometimes use to relieve stress. Although it's not often since it involves going outside... But I guess that won't be a bother to you since you're used to leaving the house, right?
K then elaborated on her unusual method, It was similar to as how some people went outside to get a breath of fresh air but however K's method was far more odd than that of a normal person's.
K: u-uh w-well..I really enjoy exploring abandoned places on murky day's, whenever the sun isn't shining brightly to my face.I just like going to abandoned sites to simply stare at the architecture. Sometimes I even get inspiration while strolling around in places like these.
Yuki: Is that so? well that's very interesting about you K!
K: Well I guess so.
K: Hey! Since we're in the topic I wanted to tell you about a place I have been frequenting lately-
...............
Mafuyu was stunned. She could still recall everything K said in impeccable detail. She just didn't expect the place to be exactly like how K described.
She started walking around the place eyeing down the broken playground.
The place was strange yet had a sense of comfort. The dreamlike haze, the cold breezes blowing past her.It all felt unreal. Perhap's it was because of the childish theme in the place that made it feel comforting yet direful because of it being neglected.
Despite no one being around, she didn't feel alone. It was seemingly a eerie sensation yet she basked in the feeling. There was no one there to bother her, not even her own mother.
She felt completely alone physically and she enjoyed it.
Infact, when she was here. She didn't even have to think about anything. No smart thinking. No worries or troubles. Just nothing. It was as if she didn't exist-
Or she hoped to.
Mafuyu then got a glimpse of a swing that was waving back and forth because of the howling wind. She was quite tired of walking so she proceeded to sit down there.
"This is... quite nice" She murmured to herself.
The sky started getting more gloomy as she sat down. She could sense it was going to rain soon. Mafuyu recalled in the morning, Her mother asking her to bring a umbrella to school incase it rain's. Seem's like she forgot it at school.
................
"I guess I have to leave soon-" She uttered to herself. A small frown appearing on her face. She didn't wanna leave so quickly yet. Sure, her exams weren't over and her mother without any doubt would be displeased if she were to found out the actual reason why her so called "perfect" daughter was so late today.
Mafuyu got up from the swing. Without much thinking she picked up her schoolbag. Traveling here took a long time since the forest road was quite dirty with mud and a lot of tree branches had fallen to the ground. She started wondering how K managed to come here so easily without trespassing in some ways.
"I'll be leaving now,..But I'll come here again" Mafuyu professed. She started feeling way better after she had come here and her head was more clearer. She was grateful
"I'll have to thank K for this, I didn't expect this to actually work at all"
