    Dan Heng planted his bare hand on the window glass, right next to the girl's head; he could feel passion fading into simmering anger, still loosely disguised by his usual composure.

    He had invoked her succinctly, taking a moment to pause to lower the two short zips at his neck. His breathing was rougher than usual, punctuated by the agonizing, frantic rhythm of yearning.
