Phillipa steps out the car and is faced with the grand building which is the Richard Rogers. She feels a wave of nostalgia wash over her and she smiles as she thinks about what is happening today.
Lin is finishing up some work when he hears the theatre door open and when he looks up, phillipa is looking back at him. He smiles fondly at her and he shuts his laptop before practically jumping up and walking towards her. "Phillipa soo, long time no see stranger" he smirks slightly at her and she smiles back before pulling him into a hug.
"How've you been?" She asks. Lin thinks her voice sounds like honey or birdsong, his mind is wonderfully poetic but it dosent help when he has a crush on a married woman.
"Lin?" Phillipa questions and Lin realises he's been staring. "I- erm" he clears his throat and laughs nervously, "sorry, I.. I've been great I've been great, yeah... you?"
"I'm doing ok, Camelot is bringing a lot of joy to my life so yeah, I'm ok" she smiles softly.
Eventually, more of the team start to arrive and Phillipa and Lin are caught up in sorting things out for the nearing event. As Lin quickly scribbles down some things on his to do list, someone yells "everyone gather round, we're rehearsing!" Lin puts his pencil down and makes his way over.
Phillipa spots lin and smiles to herself, she knows he's gonna love this. The music starts for 'The lusty month of may' and all eyes are on her. Here goes nothing.
Lin notices she's giving him lots of looks and smiles, or maybe he's just hoping that. As she begins to sing he feels his heart beat 10 times faster and he has to start taking deeper breaths in order to calm the norepinephrine flowing through his body and causing his stomach to do flips.
The song continues and she can see him staring at her out the corner of her eye. As it reaches the middle, Phillipa says "Remix!" And she feels like squealing when she sees the confusion on Lins face which quickly turns to suprise as the cast of Camelot sing "one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, ninee!"
Everyone else is freaking out and cheering them on, Phillipa begins to sing 'take a break' while the cast continue to back her up. She looks over in Lin's direction and sees quick happy streams of tears falling down his face. Her heart melts and her gaze softens and she dancewalks forward and pulls him into a side hug, continuing to sing.
Lin feels like he's going to burst with love and happiness. He smiles wide through his tears of joy and sways with phillipa while she sings. When the song ends, everyone erupts into excited applause and Lin hugs Phillipa properly while everyone is distracted. "That was beautiful pips" he says as they hug so only she can hear.
"I wanted to suprise you" she smiles into his shoulder and she feels him squeeze her tighter.
