Work Text:

Doppio once hated his scars. They served merely as a painful reminder of all the times he wasn't strong enough, all the times he could have done better, all the times he failed. They ran across his body, and others had seen nothing but a warning of some monster who could do nothing but pick fights. Over time, however, Doppio had grown to like the scars. Or, at least stop caring about them. People still whispered, he had simply stopped listening.

It was on nights like this, however, where Doppio learned to love his scars.

Ver kissed up each of his arms, and Doppio kissed his shoulders with what he hoped was the same amount of love Ver's kisses gave him. Ver giggled, leaning to kiss the scar on his jawline. Doppio's hands traced Ver's back as the other left kissed up and down his neck. Ver was pushing Doppio back, he could feel it, the process done so gently as they slowly leaned closer and closer to the sheets.

Doppio felt the moment his back just barely met the fabric, the moment Ver firmly pushed him down the rest of the way. He smiled, holding himself up on his hands for just a moment for Doppio to admire, before leaning to kiss him. Doppio hummed, letting his fingers tangle in Ver's hair, letting himself pull the other just a little closer. When Ver leaned back, Doppio let his hands wander down the other's body and rest atop his thighs, and he felt as his arms raised with Ver's hips.

"Doppi." Ver breathed, leaving featherlight kisses along his neck and shoulders.

Doppio hummed, his hands moving to massage Ver's sides, tilting his head and pressing his lips to Ver's hair. He felt when Ver's hips began to move, rising up before sinking back down, the action nothing but gentle.

Ver had always been so, so gentle.

He pressed kisses to the scars on Doppio's shoulders, his hands tracing the ones on his chest, and between broken breaths he would call each and every one of them beautiful. Doppio closed his eyes and bit his lip, until he felt Ver cup his face and leave kisses all over.

"Doppio." His voice was so soft, so loving, something that made Doppio allow himself to relax.

"Please." Doppio whispered.

Ver smiled, pressing a short kiss to his lips as if he could hear each and every one of Doppio's unspoken wants. He probably could.

He leaned back, pressing his hands against Doppio's stomach.
Doppio's breath caught in his throat, it always did when he saw Ver like this. His hands traced up the other's flushed skin, tracing back down at every shiver. Ver breathed his name, gently guiding his hands back to his waist. He leaned forward, pressed his lips to Doppio's, letting out a gentle sigh as their lips touched. Doppio's hands massaged his thighs, squeezing gently before rubbing his hands up and down them.

Ver pulled away, returning to his scars. Kissing the ones on his shoulders and collarbone, tracing the ones on his chest, whispering sweet little things about each one, just as he had before. Doppio breathed his name, something almost desperate, leaning to press his lips against the crook of his neck. He pressed his teeth to the flesh so, so gently, as to not draw blood. He heard the way Ver's breath hitched and shook with each little bite, each gentle kiss, and so Doppio did it again and again and again.

Ver's fingers traced one of his largest scars, one that trailed from his hips to his back, his lips moving to press another kiss to the scar on his jaw. Ver leaned to his ear and he called him lovely.
Doppio felt his chest squeeze as Ver shifted his attention from his scars to everything, pressing gentle kisses all over and whispering of all the little things.

Ver reached and brought Doppio's knuckles to his lips, "I love your hands."

"I love your hair. " A kiss to his forehead.

"I love you eyes." A kiss to the bridge of his nose.

"I love your laugh," a kiss to the corner of his lips, "and I love your smile." A kiss to the other corner.

"I love you." A kiss to his lips. A firm press, his hands trailing up Doppio's chest until they rested just under his collarbone.

"I love you, too." Doppio whispered, his hands squeezing Ver's thighs as he continued up and down, up and down.

"Yeah?" Ver giggled, kissing him again.

"Yeah." Another kiss. "I love you so, so much."

Ver smiled, leaning to kiss him again. And he kissed him again and again and again, and between each kiss hung a softly spoken confession, something they've already said but they needed to say again. Ver's hands wandered down to trace the scars on Doppio's abdomen, whispering to him that soon, their night would end. Doppio's hands firmly grabbed the other's waist, guiding him up and down, up and down, kissing him as Ver's voice broke into heavenly pleas.

When Ver stopped moving, Doppio kissed his shoulders, his hands tracing the line of his back as the other breathed into the crook of his neck.

"I love you."

"I love you, too."

"No." Ver whispered, shifting a little, "I love you." He began to press kisses against his scars again, each one so gentle, so loving, "I love each and every part of you."

Doppio smiled, and he could swear his heart skipped a beat with each kiss he received, at every ounce of love Ver gave to him, to his scars.

He reached for Ver's hand, pressing a kiss to the small scar on his wrist, "I love you, too."
