Work Text:
Due to Reaper's failure to retrieve all locations of retired Overwatch agents a few days ago, Talon decided to assign Sombra this task. Which should've been their first choice, but I guess this was before Sombra's character was even a thought. But enough with breaking the fourth wall here and let's get back to the story.
The young hacker wasted no time on getting to work on her advanced computer. The cloaked man walked over to stand next to her as she cracked her fingers.
"Ready to learn from a professional, Gabe?" she asked teasingly, earning a faint growl from him.
"How many times have I told you to stop calling me that?"
"To about as many shotguns I've seen you pull out from thin air," the Latina replied, typing her password and logging in. "How do you do that anyway? Is it your whole revenge and vengeance thing?"
He gripped at the corner of her chair. "Enough. Do your job, Sombra."
"Okay, okay. Touchy subject, I guess."
The hacker began typing away on her complicated keyboard. Or at least it looked complicated to Reaper. He blinked at the screen, his attention only growing once he spotted progress.
"¿Cómo se llama el sistema del mono? (What's the name of the monkey's system?)" Sombra asked, her index finger moving a holographic molecule from her monitor.
"Athena. Why?"
The woman chuckled. "I like to at least know the name of who I'm using to get what I want."
The cloaked figure rolled his eyes behind his mask. He continued to examine the young villain until an error code suddenly popped up, causing her to groan in annoyance.
"Seems like your old buddy gave her some upgrades since your last visit. The encryptions here are pretty tough."
"Then that means (L/N) came back," Reyes said, a bit angrily. "I heard that damn monkey initiate the recall, but I couldn't catch anything else. The... mission went bad."
He didn't want to admit that he was beaten by Winston. After nearly being electrocuted to death, Reaper was not able to phase back to normal, so he needed to retreat. Sombra turned to face him with a smirk.
"You were hurt and lost all of your men. Happens to the best of us," she stated, reverting to her computer before he could react. "What's so special about this (L/N) anyway?"
Since the hacker collected every single piece of information in secret, she was pretty much pretending to not know anything about the agent, which of course, she did. She had a small catalog of (Y/N), but nothing really worth mentioning. Her time within Overwatch was short-lived before its disbandment.
Reaper inhaled before releasing his usual grumpy noise of irritation. "She was similar to you: super annoying."
"She sounds super interesting then. Dime más (Tell me more.)."
The older male crossed his arms. "She specialized in computers. She didn't enjoy hacking as much as you do, but she still did it when the mission required it."
The pink-wearing woman held onto her chin. "Hmm. If she didn't like it as much, then that means she isn't very good at it. Hehe, I'm bound to find a weak spot somewhere."
The Latina got right to it, typing away on her keyboard and moving holograms around her screen. The woman was childish and bothersome, but Reaper would never deny her skill. She made this stuff seem so simple. He was losing some patience, but he knew that these things took time. And assuming that the little brat, (Y/N), was there with Winston in Gibraltar, this would take even longer. Who else could have returned after the recall? Wilhelm? McCree? Ana?
Jack?
Reyes balled his fists in bottled up rage as he thought of the other man. Thanks to Sombra, it was no secret that Jack was a vigilante nowadays. In all honesty, he hoped he was there. His death would bring the most satisfaction.
"Aha! I bypassed it!" Sombra exclaimed proudly, snapping her fingers at the screen.
"Bypassed what?"
"Their security cameras," she said with a shrug. "It's a start, right?"
The older man placed his gloved hand over his mask. "We need locations. Not their cameras. Couldn't you at least get into their computer?"
"¡Oh, cállate! (Oh, be quiet!) You have to take small victories every once in a while. Plus, I have sound!" the hacker included with a side glance. "And like I said, it's a start. Give me some more time and I'll get through. Everything's connected somehow."
An irritated growl escaped from the older man before he turned around to walk out.
"Wait!" Sombra called out, pushing her chair to roll in front of him. "Don't you at least want to see what the monkey's up to?"
"Not in the slightest. Now move."
The younger woman's eyelids lowered with a grin. "You can literally just turn into smoke and go around me."
"Doing that requires energy. And I have none from you wasting my time," Reyes answered, his voice becoming darker with each word. "Get out of my way befo-
"¡Mira! (Look!) Live footage is loading up!" the hacker interrupted, rolling her chair back to her desk. "I got access to the kitchen, the locker rooms..."
Reaper sighed. He had nothing else to do for the rest of the day anyway. Additionally, inspecting the base from the inside gave opportunity to see who else returned from retirement. His attention began to spike up once again before he slowly walked toward the computer, leaning one hand on the desk while the other held onto her chair.
"There's the lab but most of the lights are off. I'm assuming that's where you got beat?" the pink-wearing woman joked. She slumped a little when she received no response from the man.
Reyes stared intently at the glowing screen. He was a hawk, looking for any sign of movement. He finally did and pointed to the screen. "Zoom in there. I see something."
Sombra squinted in interest, spinning her index and middle finger on two holographic knobs that controlled the intensity of the camera lense and the volume. The two Talon agents blinked in shock once the visuals cleared up. It quickly turned into a nightmare and the speakers were poisoned with a horrific sound.
In 4K definition and Dolby Atmos audio, (Y/N) was seen and heard getting plowed by Winston on one of his working desks.
Tools and blueprints were scattered everywhere along the floor as the table shook violently. Thankfully, the gorilla's giant, furry frame covered most of their session. But the young girl's flustered expressions remained visible. Winston was standing on his feet and was hunched over her while she barely wrapped her legs around his waist. The sound of low grunts and loud moans, along with wet clapping, only made it worse for Reaper. Once he heard a weak Faster, Winston! from (Y/N), that was enough for him to nearly vomit through his mask. He could blast this computer right now with one of his shotguns.
Another sound was heard, and that was Sombra's uncontrollable fit of laughter before she shut off her monitor. She leaned back into her chair as her laughing grew louder.
"Disgusting," the cloaked figure stated bitterly. "How can you find this shit funny?"
"Because it is! Hahahaha!" the Latina squealed; her eyes shut tightly while she held onto her stomach.
The older man's patience had finally finished before he hissed in anger and whipped around to exit the room. But before he did, he demanded, "Just get those locations, Sombra."
He caught a thumbs up from the younger woman and left without another word. It took a moment for her to settle down. She wiped away her tears and exhaled in relief, facing her PC and waiting a few seconds before turning it on again. She prayed the odd couple were done with their little playdate, and to her surprise and her wish to not die of laughter, they were.
Winston was sitting on a chair, holding onto (Y/N) in a soft embrace as she slept on his chest. He brushed his hand repeatedly over her hair.
A part of Sombra felt bad. She didn't like putting others in danger, especially those she knew for sure were innocent. But her solo mission came first. She was always first.
Sombra will overpower anyone.
She smirked in confidence, swiping away the scene and changing it to another window. She began her magic once again, trying her best to erase all human emotion. One way or another, she was going to retrieve those locations undetected, along with other bits of information she'd keep for herself.
But then it dawned on her.
Poor Athena had to watch all of that.
