What remained of the ground floor of the high-rise building was a lobby. Couches, as uncomfortable as they looked, littered most of the waiting area, granting Rika the perfect place to set Yuji down on a more fitting surface than concrete and asphalt. Once set, Rika took her place on the opposing side of the couch, keeping watch for Yuta as he got to work channeling the reversed cursed technique from his palms and throughout Yuji’s still unconscious body.
The blood still on the surface would have to be wiped clean by hand. Yuta hadn’t hesitated to remove his jacket for this, frowning when he found the plethora of scars now permanently etched into the omega’s skin. He should have healed them sooner, but he’d thought them too shallow to scar. And now it would seem that today’s events were enshrined in the most gruesome of ways.
Yuji was no dainty butterfly, but an unrelenting tiger who had just earned his stripes.
